It's been quite sometime since I've been able to play a game w/o stopping but man I forgot how much fun Tales games are.

so I'm heading to the Capital now but I'm really just looking forward to the time skip (that has to happen right? the game cover kinda spoils that)

Battle system is fine, I remember a lot of people complaining about the learning curve. Anything I should be aware of? I'm kinda not getting how to chain attacks and keep using better ones.

only complaint is that I can't rotate the camera, I thought that was standard now.

If you're loving it before the time skip then you're good to go.

You can adjust the camera by pausing-in battle and pressing some button. It might be the D-pad. Not sure if it can be rotatable though.

Yeah that game surprised the hell out of me. I just bought it because I still didn't have any traditional jRPGs on PS3 but it ended up being one of my favourite games this gen. I stopped playing about 25 hours in, but it never got boring, I'm just terrible at beating games.

That's not really considered a spoiler since the game was first shown with all the characters as adults. The childhood part of the game was only revealed later. You're also really close to the end of it.

If I remember correctly you only have A artes and not too many

On your artes menu there should be a list of which attacks do 1CC, 2CC, etc.

Pressing X (+ a direction) does a 1CC move, then pressing X does a 2CC move, provided you have sufficient CC
