What annoys me about all the pokemon noms is that some of them are clearly nominated because of their anime appearances and not their in game character. Otherwise Brock would never make it in as he is just a boring gym leader. Kingler and Oak probably wouldn't be in if not for the anime as well.

He'll have to get a struggle win against something of value before he even sniffs the top 25, but still, this isn't exactly surprising!

Gumshoe got a 4 seed last time around and lost in the second round to Yoshi, which isn't bad. Sometimes characters go through slumps. I'm sure he'll come around.

I'd say Max is lucky it was that close, as that would be what I didn't see coming. I know KH has taken a nosedive in popularity on board8 within the last few years, but still. Either that's a good sign for Max Payne or a terrible sign for Sora.

I was under the impression that none of the characters that have originated in the Kingdom Hearts series were very popular, more of a mixed bag of feelings toward them, and that Max Payne was respected by all who played the game.
