As of all of you know (okay so maybe NOT all of you know) my Digimon Episode Ranking Topic Of Season 1 purged and died a few days ago. I didn't necessarily let the topic die I just wanted to see and give it some time after posting some reviews of the season I made garner more attention then it already did to make it seem like my work was an effort to spending working on. It didn't really gather that much attention to some of you so after moving on with something I can't fix from the past, I'm moving on to the future here at B8 and working on a new project all together. Rather then working on another write-up topic of sorts on a certain subject where it would take too much time away from me and my life to get done I think working on a tournament of sorts would be a preferred option here that I think will gather your attention to participate in.
For those of you that don't know, I'm a wrestling fan. I have been since I was a youngster at 9 years old. I'm not afraid to admit that I still am. Particularly with what kind of wrestling I am talking about it's the world's largest and most popular kind of entertainment extravaganza out there that has lasted for decades and been the wrestling company all wrestling companies wanted to be since it was established back in 1952 and that is the WWE.
To give it tribute despite the fact of it's terrible RAW show it had this past Monday (aside from maybe the Ziggler/Swagger match) Vince McMahon's own flagship show in the WWE, Monday Night Raw is going to be celebrating it's 1000 episode coming up soon sometime in July. I can't think of a better time to run a tournament dedicated to the company then now with working on something like this. There have been hundreds of wrestlers that have come and gone and made their history and their name known for appearing as either an entertainer, wrestler, valet, manager, announcer or what else have you can name on Vince McMahon's show or should I say other shows he has created (Including Smackdown. Yes I left out the exclamation point. Why did you get rid of it Vince? WHY?) week in and week out to put on a show on national television you people couldn't forget.
With WWE being the largest wrestling company out there in the world eventually the whole company would turn out into a soap opera sometimes. (Why is it still PG-14?) having wrestlers form a love triangle with each other including probably one of the more infamous ones involving Matt Hardy, Edge and Lita. (which was occuring in real life) PPV's that would go live you had to purchase every month, a draft lottery occuring every year (okay so not EVERY year) that should everyone around with what brand they could wrestle on and fight certain championships on and having events of course like Raw Roulette where matches would be decided for the night's show at the spin of the wheel.
I'm not even digging far enough deeper then I should as I could to describe things for the whole history the WWE has done. For now I'm going to end this little background story on what the WWE has done and you take the time with having fun here in the tournament by asking you one question. Who is the best person to ever have worked in the WWE ever? I'm talking about from it's whole history. It can be hard to find a favorite so is the case with this being created and why I have created it.
PLEASE DO NOT POST YET RULES EXPLAINED IN NEXT POST
Rules For Nominating WWE Wrestlers In This Tournament:
1. First and foremost is the most important rule of all for nominating wrestlers in this contest. The person has to have worked for the WWE at one point or another in time. Wrestlers that have worked in the sport for the past and present throughout all of it's years since it existed have never worked for the WWE. This included some working for companies like TNA, ROH, Dragon Gate, Triple X, Chikara etc.
Someone like A.J. Styles is NOT ELIGIBLE for nominating in this tournament. In order for anybody to be accepted and allowed in this tournament they have to have had worked in WWE programming at one point or another in it's history. Even it it was only for six months for someone like Manu that was part as the fairly short stinted stable of Legacy that lasted for a few years in the WWE is eligible for entering in this tournament. Please take this rule in mind and if you have a wrestler in question you are not sure if he/she is allowed to enter in the contest please let know right away.
2. Wrestlers that are currently working for a different promotion like TNA and not WWE anymore (Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair, etc.) but have worked for the WWE for a number of years IS ELIGIBLE for nomination rally in this tournament.
3. Each Board 8 User has a total of 40 Nominations they can spend on and use on any kind of performer that has worked for the WWE past or present throughout the years. Users have the right for not having to use all 40 nominations in the tournament. That is just the maximum they can use and vote for letting in for this contest. Please don't allow yourself with trying to waste all of your nominations on the same wrestler. Please use only 1 of your possible 40 nominations on different wrestlers.
4. The minimum amount of wrestlers you can nominate for this thing is 10. Anyone's list of wrestlers that includes a smaller amount then that will have their whole nomination list terminated and thrown away while when the votes will be tallied and counted.
5. While the duration for nominating wrestlers is going on anyone is allowed to change their list of nominations at anytime. Just make a new post involving your list and everything will be fine and allowed under the contest rules.
6. Nominating wrestlers begins from June 21, 2012 to July 13, 2012. Following that date nomination voting is closed. A later date will be announced some other time when this whole tournament will commence by.
7. The whole tournament will be running and involving 128 WWE Superstars. The bracket of the tournament will follow under a 8 x 16 bracket with 16 Divisions of 8 Wrestlers each. That's just for the starting round. Seeding for wrestlers in the tournament as you know will be decided by what vote tallies wrestlers have with those that have the most votes will receive the 1 Seeds and the ones that barely squeeze in will be included as an 8 Seed. Last person standing throughout all of this will win the honor as Board 8's Best WWE Wrestler Ever.
8. ANY kind of performer that was has worked for the WWE Company in some fashion IS eligible for running in this thing. This includes those were involved in the past like including almost the whole Hart Family, Rob Van Dam, Goldberg, Lance Storm, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Billy Kidman, Tajiri to wrestlers of today like Undertaker, C.M. Punk, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, The Miz, Randy Orton etc.
9. Wrestlers that are dead and live on in the memory of the WWE are eligible for the tournament. This includes superstars like Eddie Guerrero, Andre The Giant, Owen Hart, Test, The Junkyard Dog, Mr. Perfect, etc.
10. Announcers/Valets/Managers throughout the whole history of WWE that never actually wrestled or barely wrestled at all are eligible for the contest. This includes Jerry Lawler, Lilian Garcia, Jim Ross, Paul Bearer, Jimmy Hart, Teddy Long and god forbid us Michael Cole.
11. Any female superstar is eligible for the contest. This can include Trish Stratus, Lita, Chyna, Beth Phoenix, Miss Elizabeth etc.
12. Tag Teams like The Legion Of Doom, MNM, The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz, The Basham Brothers, Demolition etc. need to have separated nominations from each other to allow themselves in the tournament. Let's say you want to nominate both Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley. You can't have the two of them together to count as one nomination. Tag Teams have to be separated from each other as two nominations in order to be eligible for this thing.
13. Please have fun with this tournament.
14. Only one nomination list per user. If anybody is caught with using alternative accounts for nominating wrestlers in this contest (or while voting in the matches) please let know. Or I will try to find out about it myself.
15. Matches in the tournament will last each roughly for 24 hours. The lone exception being during the finale of the tournament where the Final 2 standing will battle out with each other in a 72 hour showdown with it all coming down to who Board 8 really think IS the best person to have worked for the WWE throughout it's long history.
16. You don't need to necessarily order your favorite wrestlers around in your nominations list by preference. Seeding numbers for the wrestlers in this contest will come down to who has the most amount of votes anyway.
If there have been any questions I haven't that I may have already answered for you in the rules section of the tournament please let me know. Until then. Start nominating at your will.

Wow. I completely forgot about Mike Adamle until now. Better then Cole. Then again anybody is.
After watching that WWF Metal match you posted (Styles vs Hurricane) I then think it may be alright to include him for nominating in this topic. A.J. Styles may be eligible to nominate now.

One last bump for this topic. If I don't get any notice or post with predictions from any other user that wants to participate in this I'll go ahead and let it die.
CM PUNK HBK BRET HART TAKER KANE HHH Goldberg Angle Steve Austin Randy Savage Hogan Flair Paul Bearer Bobby Heenan Jesse Ventura Bruno Samartino Sid Vicious Zack Ryder Edge Christian RVD Big Show Wade Barrett Dolph Swagger Vickie Guerro Beth Phoenix Eddie Chavo Jr. Colt Cabana (wrestled as Scott Goldman in WWE) Ryback Brodus Clay Santino ADR Arn Anderson Ricky Steamboat Charlie Haas Shelton Benjamin John Cena Sheamus GOLDBERG
I assume some of these wrestlers you have in mind that you feel like nominating which include Sting, Harley Race, Shark Boy, A.J. Styles, Jerry Lynn etc. are all up for debate on whether they should participate in this contest or not. Not any of them have actual wrestled before the WWF was changed to the WWE for legal issues.
I'll go ahead and allow these wrestlers in for nominating in the contest if only because ECW and WCW were never necessarily companies that competed with each other with the WWF/E back in the day for better ratings or what have you.
They would sometimes have specials that would come on live television sometimes just to mock around with one another with the right for some episodic specials that came on that had WWF competitors compete on WCW shows and the same for WCW competitors on WWF shows. In particular the Survivor Series 2001 PPV standing out as an example for this.
