You can say that being an attractive woman helps her get attention and is partly responsible for letting her generate as much income as she has. But to say she's been gifted $150,000 for her gender is saying that the cause could be literally anything and she still would have generated that amount of cash and interest solely based on her looks.

Which is a stupid and ridiculous statement to make.

I wont go around saying anita sarkeesian is the hottest girl around, but shes above average in the looks department. I'm sure plenty of men (she claims that 90% of her donors were men) gave her money because she was female and they thought giving her money would cause her to like them or something (consciously or subconsciously)

Its not taking away from her project, it speaks more volumes on how stupid and confused men have become the past 15 or so years.

let's be clear on what we think about this, to avoid confusion:

I'm sure we an all agree that an unattractive woman in her 50s would not have generated this response or money for the exact same kickstarter project. that's probably not an argument.

also the funding she received probably proves something about sexism, but not in the way she intended. lots of men are dumb and will give you money if you're attractive and young. it shouldn't be surprising then that an industry that targets this demographic would make female characters who are attractive and young.

whether she could've generated this response with anything, I dunno. there's probably a lot of other subjects that would've netted her similar results though. stuff that grabs the attention of the same kinds of people most likely.

Pretty white chick wants to talk about VIDEO GAMES and how women are maybe misrepresented or what the f*** ever and wants $6,000 for a YouTube video series. She got over $150,000.

A black man wants $40,000 to make a movie to raise awareness about his struggles with a false rape accusation that ruined his life in a world where everyone rolls over at the word "rape." He's barely passed the half-way point with ten days to go.

The writing is on the wall. White knights are the internet's true power source. I think more people would be willing to donate to the girl who accused him of rape than Banks himself at this point.

In lieu of arguing with and destroying the brainwashed feminists that dwell on this board any more, I'm just going to implore you guys to donate to this.

False rape accusations are a serious problem, they ruin lives and perhaps even worse they damage the credibility of actual rape victims.

That Brian Banks is getting another chance at his life is an utter miracle, but there are so many other cases where guys don't get this chance. We need to bring this problem to light, and hopefully the more attention Brian Banks is given, thought will be given to changing things so that laws are fixed and false rape accusers are given serious jail time.
