but Enrique's Shield of Justice was so good, especially combined with Aika's Delta Shield.

Should I use Gilder this playthrough? I swear, some bosses seemed like they did so much damage even with Shield of Justice, I don't know how I'm going to go through the game without it.

You can manage against pretty much anything in the main game without Justice Shield. When you start dealing with optional bosses like Piastol, you'll want Justice Shield.

Gilder's great against the two hunts that inflict lots of status anomalies though, the Ixa'Ness Demons and Daikokuya (or however you spell it), because of his special attack that blocks status effects.

I forgot how the side party levels in the game. Will Enrique be up to the level of the main party members when I need him for Piastol and all that?

Pretty sure they level up with your party members, but I'm not exactly sure.

I'm pretty sure they all gain EXP, even when they're not in the party, but like KP, don't quote me on that.
