Y'know, there's actually a serious chance that Brave's Tomatometer score will end up below Madagascar 3's. How insane would that be? >_>

I'm rooting for Brave, though, because I think it looks pretty cool. But even if it winds up being a disappointment or whatever, I'm still keeping the faith in Pixar.

Though that's an average of 4 ratings (80, 70, 50, 50) so nothing "negative" regardless. I'm ok with "Not at God Tier Pixar" as long as it's not at Cars level.

Yeah, but you could've argued that outside of the Cars franchise, Pixar's films up to this point were consistently good. But if Brave does end up with a unimpressive consensus, that pretty much gives out the feeling that Pixar has lost a step since Toy Story 3.

Still, I wouldn't count my chickens just yet. We'll see in the next couple of weeks if Pixar have really gone down in quality for ourselves.

I ALWAYS trust the fans over the critics' scores when it comes to Rotten Tomatoes.

Critics really hate comedies and a lot of other good movies.

Meanwhile, the fans get it right 90% of the time.

Anything above a 75% on fans' ratings might be worth a watch for me.

Oh snap, I forgot The Incredibles.

TS3 > Incredibles = TS > WALL-E

With the first three being great and WALL-E being very good. The other Pixar films are pretty average. Up could have been great, but then the writers threw away a serious, heart-warming narrative in favor of talking dogs flying miniature airplanes and such.

Man, even if Brave is kind of crappy, I think Pixar is allowed to have a bad movie or two before we say they're officially crap now. They can still be in their golden age.

And hell, I liked Cars 2 even though everyone thought it sucked. The first Cars is still the only "meh" movie that Pixar has made in my opinion.

I have a feeling I will like it and find it one of the best Pixar films; that tends to happen when it comes to things like this.

It seems like a fair amount of these reviews are talking about Pixar, and barely scratching the surface of the film itself. It's like the "fall" of Judd Apatow all over again, man.

My only beef with the Brave trailers is I have no idea what the plot is. What I'm seeing looks cool and I'm excited for it, but I wanna know what the hot ginger is actually doing in the movie. That might be what the reviewers' problems are. Although I have no idea why people are giving it a score before it comes out >_>

I could have done without some of the more "juvenile" elements of Up as well, though I don't think those things "threw away" what the rest of the movie did

Perhaps my phrasing was a little harsh, but yeah I thought the first 15 minutes of Up were drastically better than the rest of the movie and by the end of it I remember rolling my eyes at quite a bit. That, to me, kind of keeps it from achieving "greatness". It's still pretty good though guys. No need to get upset.

Up definitely could have gone without the talking dogs and all that, but the good scenes in that movie are really damn good. So, it's tough to mind... especially since the animation is some of the greatest I've seen, as well.

Brave's at 73% now, and there's still no reviews for Abe Lincoln. I'm gonna be so bummed if it isn't pre-screened for critics, because that'd be a sure sign that it's a turkey... and I really don't want it to be one.
