The worst thing about PS3/360 on SD tvs is that it was nearly impossible to read the text most of the time. It's like they made it so small to force people to get HDTV's. But now with a HDTV, the games look so much better, I couldn't go back.

Yeah exactly. But it's the only way I can have fun playing Mass Effect 3 online. So even though it looks ugly, it's fun enough that I can deal with the terrible SD quality.

There's even stuff cut off the screen. This TV I'm using right now is actually widescreen too. It was like the beginning of HD TVs but it doesn't have an HDMI port. It's LAME.

I played my 360 on a standard TV for a long time before upgrading. Yea, the only bad thing was the text. everything else was fine!

Kind of a tangent, but it amuses me when people get HDTVs that are like 20 inches and rant about how much better HD is.

I can barely even notice the difference when they're that small. I mean for like 30+ I can easily notice the difference but yeah.

Nah, the difference is huge when you're playing games. If you're talking about Blu-Rays compared to DVDs on a 19 inch screen, you might be on to something... but even playing games on a 22 inch monitor compared to any size SDTV is a huge difference.

Obviously the resolution is higher that's why it's called High Definition but how much you can perceive is the key.

Not seeing the video games but I will kinda agree with sports, actually. Not even sure why it matters more but I can tell the difference there.

Nah because I have a big HDTV and a small HD one at home (well not necessarily mine but my parent's and stepbrothers so that devoids your argument entirely) and I can still clearly see the difference between the old small one we still have and the small HD

generally i find it gives sports some vibrancy and looks more modern with the sharp image... on the other hand it feels a bit less organic and historic in HD, but that's more a byproduct of the digital age than anything else

Aside from a really old tv that used an antenna that doesn't work anymore, the tv in my bedroom is the only one in my house that's SD. It's also where all my games are.
