I know that some people worry about this, but since it's through Amazon, would they refund if the whole project ended up not happening, or are we basically screwed if someone is an ass?

My brother gave $10 to a game kickstarter once

I don't remember the name of it but the goal was $20,000. They hit like $22,000 and I'm pretty sure ran away with the money because I heard nothing about it since.

That's why the best funded projects are already half-started and have updates and videos of prototypes and important people endorsing the project

I think so

That's why the best funded projects are already half-started and have updates and videos of prototypes and important people endorsing the project

And even then you're still not guaranteed, but its much better

How long ago was it? I've put down about $125 on a few projects, but I've gotten updates along the way. Some projects take a while.

Depends on what it was. The first thing I kickstarted was in February, but they said from the beginning it wasn't coming until late July.
