literally sad as hell. Konami is closing down all the Metal Gear Online servers at 11am EST tomorrow. It's a really volatile and annoying community for the most part, but damnit if I haven't had a blast trolling it and having fun for the past two years. Swift and I are depressed tonight, we just finished our last MGO marathon.

It sucks because I was honestly just starting to get decent at the game!

I used to play it a lot, but yeah, the community and blatant hacking got on my nerves and eventually drove me away.

The game itself was fine, it just needed more polish, maybe a few ways to give the "HURR BOX 3 AND CQC EX NOT ALLOWED" kiddies their bottle without making it impossible for everyone else to have fun.

Damn shame.

Sure, but I'm just saying, depending on the lobby and time of day, those types of games were dominant.

And then in the games that didn't "ban" them you had people doing nothing BUT box charging and using CQC Ex.

There was hardly any DLC what are you talking about. Unless you're talking about like, different outfits or something. But you could buy them with reward points anyway.

man once you started learning how to codec spam it all became so much fun. There's something so cool about finding another character with the same voice as you and then codec spamming together.

I played it a few times and I remember this awesome match where EVERYONE just camped the whole time and it was great.
