Also, I got hired as an assistant tennis coach/chemistry teacher today!

I was playing tennis last night and one of the instructors (a former pro who is so good it makes me sick) was asking this woman if she was certified. I was like, "...certified for what." And he was like "Oh, we're talking about high school."

I told him I was certified to teach high school science and he was like "...what? You look like you just got out of high school."

But he said he gets to pick his assistant coach so I met with the principal today and she loved me so as long as my references check out (and they obviously will) then I am hired!

And this guy is only gonna be the head coach for one year so he said there's a pretty good chance I could be head coach next year.

YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS.

Damn Ferrer seems to be getting better as he gets older. Nadal-esque levels of consistency on show against JMDP and Murray (so far). If he'd got to this level a few years ago he might have won a slam.

Ferrer's defending extremely well and Murray's attack isn't consistent enough to break him down. Great effort from Murray to steal that set. Ferrer served for it at 5-4, then had 5-2 in the tie-break. Match could be a long one...

Why didn't they put Federer in the bottom half of the bracket? The 3 seed is supposed to face the 2... surely Federer is not actually behind Murray in grass court rankings is he?

Just really sucks because the real final will be happening in a few days. Of course the hype train will be high for Murray heading into the final but I find it extremely doubtful he doesn't just implode again when faced with real competition.

That's not how it works with tennis seeds. It's not set at 1-4, 2-3. The first seed gets either 3 or 4 in their half - same for 2. Then those four get a random one of 5-8 in their quarter, etc etc.
