I'm always surprised how fast info leaks since I usually take a while before I finish up to the Elite 4. Almost makes me wonder if the people who get it first just power through with 1 high level Pokemon so they can leak the info fastest.

And lol, if you disconnect during the Random Matchup or Tournament features, the game prevents you from connecting again for a while. Nice. Sucks for people with s***ty internet connections, though. Then again, you shouldn't be battling online if you know your connection will likely give out in the middle of the fight...

What did they do to Iris? I like Aggron and Lapras as much as the next guy but either stick with all Gen 5 and give her Excadrill or stick with all dragon and give her actual dragons. We have plenty of every type that no trainer needs to have "replacements" or even duplicates anymore. Maybe it'll be fixed if she's in that gym leader tournament thing?

Thing is, there are so many few Drango-type Pokemon compared to most types, and we have Lance, Clair, Drake, and Drayden. If we were to give them all Dragon-types, we would be seeing some duplicates.

It's true. We get it, dragon types are strong. Personally, I like it when the champ has a variety of types. I guess Iris is kind of that, but she's already established as a Dragon trainer. And like I said, at least give her an Excadrill if you're going to deviate from that.

Know what we need? A flying type champion. Could have all the sacred beast formes of the kami trio or something.

... or maybe an Ice-type champion. "Hi, the last champion was a dragon trainer! So I kinda came here and swept them with Ice-types. Guess dragon's not that great...?"

A ghost champion could've been cool. I understand that not all types could really work for a champion, and that dragon is probably the best possible option, but given that it was already used (along with steel and water), I really think something like ghost or maybe even normal could've been interesting.

Off-topic question.

My copy of Pokemon Platinum shipped today and will be here in a couple of days. I'm thinking of breaking that "always Fire for the starter" vow I've had going on since 1998, especially since I've already played through Diamond (granted, it was like five years ago) so I'm looking for as new an experience as possible.

Here's the question, then -- Turtwig or Piplup? Just looking for suggestions.
