Scorpio's (23 October – 21 November) ability Darts of Terror :

Normal effect : Shoots a hundred poisonous dart in all directions at high speed (around 150 MPH), the venom inside them paralyzes the foe completely in a matter of seconds, the effect lasts for about 30 seconds.
Boosted effect : Shoots a hundred poisonous dart that seeks the target, the venom inside them kills but act relatively slowly, killing in approximately 10 minutes. The poison vanishes if Zodiac is killed.

Sagittarius' (21 November – 21 December) ability Apollo's Arrows :

Normal effect : Summon a rain of arrows of light that falls from the sky at high velocity, regular sized arrows. Approximately a thousand arrows in a 100m² area
Boosted effect : Summon a rain of arrows of light that falls from the sky and emerges from the earth, arrows the size of a ballista's bolt. Approximately seven hundred arrows in the same 100m² area

Capricorn's (21 December – 19 January) ability Horn of Plenty :

Normal effect : Creates an illusion of what the opponent of Zodiac's desires the most, the illusion is extremely real and the victim can even feel the objects appearing in front of him.
Boosted effect : Transforms one of the opponent's limb in the embodiment of wealth, gold, rendering the area affected useless in battle.

Aquarius' (19 January – 18 February) ability Deluge :

Normal effect : Fills a 100km³ area with magic water that doesn't have any effect on Zodiac. She can move and breath as if she was on dry land under this water. Evaporates after 1 minutes
Boosted effect : Same effect as the normal spell though the water is eternal and never evaporates.

Pisces' (18 February – 20 March) ability :

Normal effect : Transforms Zodiac into an almighty Sea Serpent that can spit acid and steam. Zodiac keeps this form until she's '' killed '' then she transforms back without any of the wounds inflicted to the serpent on her.
Boosted effect : Summons Leviathan, one of the Seven Prince of Hell.

Other ability :

There are 9 chakrams orbiting constantly around Zodiac, one for each planet (including Pluto) the speed at which they orbit depends of the planet they represent. They also mimic he distance the planets have between the sun and them (Zodiac being the sun here), scale of 1 meter per billion of kilometers (Thus the Chakram representing Pluto is at 4.4 meters away from Zodiac).

She also has an infinite supply of chakrams that she can throw at her opponent with great precision.

Physically Zodiac's is healthy but nothing more than that, as a dancer she kept in shape and thus his moderately agile and fast but without her abilities she's nearly worthless.

honestly anagram, most of her problems really do just boil down to her being a textbook case of one trick pony. like it's not even a figurative phrase with her, that's her actual power, to take everything that she can theoretically do and rolled into a singular move. it basically boils her down to if she can do it and win, she wins, but if she can't win with it, she loses. she could be fun to write about in a story, but she'd be terribly boring and frustrating in a competition because she won't ever have a true competitive match - she either wins with a move or loses with it. weakening her does fix the 'too perfect' issue, but it doesn't fix the other problem in her. she's not a good fit for these things as a result.

FINAL VERSION
(I don't want to get caught up in any escalation so I'm making this final. I think it covers everything that needs to be clarified. if not 'oh well')

Roman Lility

Roman is the main character of a PSVita tactics RPG called Harem Tactics. The main character (Roman) possesses a magical handheld device which can be used to summon an endless supply of beautiful maidens (called Otome) to fight on their behalf. Along with 12 other warriors, Roman was given this power to take place in a battle royale that decides who will be given the power to rule Japan with their ultimate Harem. In the sequel, Roman competes against the top Harem Kings and Harem Queens from around the world. The game has an interesting mechanic in which each of the Otome have unique stats, appearance, HP, etc. like typical units however there is one catch; each unit has a single special ability which they can only activate by sacrificing themselves for their master. Typical combat in the game revolves around summoning Otome to "block" for you (if Roman takes enough damage, you lose the battle. likewise, you have to take out the enemy Harem King/Harem Queen to win a map), while occasionally sacrificing one in an offensive blitz. Some units are better as standard combat units or tanks while others are glass cannons that must be protected but have devastating offensive abilities. Others might have a support or healing ability, while there are a few 'balanced' units in the game (including the 'childhood friend type' Otome that you begin the game with). You may summon an Otome again after it has been defeated or after expending it for its special ability, and Roman has a seemingly endless supply of magic power. The game mechanics revolve around the action economy of summoning the right units and getting them into place to strike while your opponent attempts to do the same.

At first, Roman's abilities were questioned heavily as well as the power of the Otome themselves. There was no way to confirm what canon abilities existed and what was just game mechanics. However, after the success of the first game, both a sequel game and an anime adaptation were greenlit. In the anime, Roman wields an actual PSVita that she uses to summon the Otome that fight on her behalf. This is seen to be the canon version of Roman. She has green hair and can cycle between typical modern-day Japanese fashions, although she additionally wears a crown. At the end of the series she is the Harem Queen of Japan and possesses all of the Otome that can be obtained in the first game, with a massive harem of over 100 beautiful maidens that can aide her in various situations.

Once a unit has been summoned it acts to aide Roman, but indepentant of her own control. She doesn't have to do anything to direct any Otome she has already summoned, they will automatically continue to fight on her behalf. If she is knocked out or killed, they will be dispelled.

Some standard units in her harem include:
Osananajimi - The 'childhood friend' Otome, who appears to be a typical japanese girl that grew up next door. She has above average stats across the board and is generally summoned early on in a battle and kept near Roman to protect her against enemies that get too close. She has defensive martial arts training and carries a piece of toast in her mouth at all times. Believes that her and Roman made a promise when they were younger, which is the source of her power (although it's not true since she's a fictional character). She also has a special attack called Misunderstanding Punch where she strikes an enemy unit with an attack that deals +999% damage. In practical terms, it hits with the force of every generic anime female that has ever punched a male harem lead over a misunderstanding.

#105:

Shrine Maiden - A typical shrine maiden with powerful magic. She has high defense and is nearly impossible to kill before she can activate her ability. Roman usually opens with the Shrine Maiden unit, who erects a magical barrier around Roman (that covers her from all sides out to 10 yards) that can soak a large amount of attacks. While the enemy is eating through the barrier, Roman will begin summoning her standard attack team and studying the enemy abilities to get an idea of which units she should summon in response. The Shrine Maiden Barrier takes longer to erect each time the Shrine Maiden is summoned in the same battle. Since attacks can't pass through in either direction, including attacks that Roman or one of her Otome launches, it's generally not used again after the initial set-up phase.

Samurai Girl A - Samurai Girl A is from an alternate reality where all of the famous historical figures are genderswapped to be females. She is based off of Date Masamune and posesses unparalleled fighting skills. She is the only unit in the game who lacks a special ability, and can only be taken off of the battlefield by suffering enough damage.

Samurai Girl B - Samurai Girl B is a famous historical figure who was transported from another world to modern day japan. . . with a twist! She is Oda Nobunaga except as a high school girl. She's a powerful attack type unit with a special vertical slash that crosses the entire battlefield, ripping it in half. In the anime she is shown to rend the tokyo tower in half with this slash.

Mage Team - There is a corresponding unit to each conventional offensive magic spell. For example, there's a Fire 1, Fire 2, and Fire 3 Girl. An Ice 1, Ice 2, Ice 3 Girl, etc. etc. They are glass cannons for the most part who are summoned behind your defensive line and then sacrificed to launch the corresponding magical spell at the enemy. Girl 1 is always a middle schooler, Girl 2 is a high schooler, and Girl 3 is an adult. The spells covered are Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Aero.

Knight Girl - A girl with inexplicably high defensive abilities and HP despite the fact that she wears armor that barely covers anything and would not be practical in a real fight. However, even in the anime it is shown that her game representation as a tank unit is accurate. A valuable defensive unit who can soak even the most powerful attacks in the game that would one shot any other unit without being destroyed. Additionally, her special ability Magic Shield allows her to sacrifice herself to temporarily create a dimensional barrier around Roman that protects her from all attacks for a short time (enough time to summon another unit).

Angel Girl - The Angel Girl unit has a fairly weak special ability, Light Arrow, which has an infinite range but only deals Normal damage and can be blocked by any unit while requiring Line of Effect. This ensures it will basically never land an attack against an enemy commander. However, if there's a line in the enemy defense it can be used to snipe a glass cannon type unit before it can fire off its special ability. Additionally, the Angel Girl has the FLIGHT property. As long as she doesn't activate her ability or get destroyed, she can pick up Roman and carry her around the battlefield, greatly increasing her mobility and tactical advantage.

Student Council President - A dutiful girl on the student council, she wears a school uniform and has the option of Glasses which increase her accuracy and moe stats but also increase her clumsiness. She has high speed and a surprising amount of strength, but no durability to speak of. Still, since she occupies a space she can be used to block somewhat effectively (an attack will hit and kill her, but won't hit whatever units are behind her). Her special ability launches a wave of projectiles (pens, pencils, rulers, etc.), spreadshot style across the battlefield. It can cause minor damage to many different enemies (which can be very effective if used right) and if she gets right up against an enemy she can shotgun them for massive damage with it.

Cure White - A defense-type unit who looks mysteriously like Cure White from the Pretty Cure series but totally isn't her due to copyright reasons. She can redirect enemy ranged attacks that pass by within 3 squares (or about 9 yards) of herself. Additionally, her special ability is a Cure spell. By sacrificing herself, she restores 1 point of health to Roman (either 1 Normal or 1 Heavy damage, whichever is Lesser).

Yandere Girl - The Yandere Girl is insanely jealous of all the other Otome. The more Otome that Roman has already summoned, the more powerful the Yandere Girl becomes. She wields a meat cleaver and her best stats are Speed and Attack. She is surprisingly tanky, especially as her power scales upwards. Her special ability allows her to make one enemy unit mysteriously 'disappear'. Although it doesn't work on enemy Harem Kings and Harem Queens, she can effectively cancel out any summoned unit by sacrificing herself.

Dragon Girl - A girl with little dragon wings who has decent to average stats. She has a special ability that lets her transform into a dragon with a breath weapon of various elemental types (as well as a Poison breath attack) and fire her breath weapon as an AoE attack before vanishing from the battlefield. She's a slightly more tanky, more mobile, and more versatile version of the standard Mage Team who is obtained later in the game. Since there's only one of her, she doesn't make the regular Mage units obsolete, although she'll typically be summoned before they are.

Archery Club Girl - A ranged attacker unit who can use her special ability to teleport to any unoccupied square within 50 yards and fire an arrow before being dispelled. Units that can attack at range at will (without having to sacrifice themself to launch a ranged power/attack) are fairly rare, so she is a valuable unit.

Dryad Girl - A mobile but tanky unit. She is weak against the fire element but resistant to physical damage. She doesn't excel at any particular thing other than soaking damage, but she's useful for forming a defensive line. Her power allows her to sacrifice herself to erect a barrier made of thick branches and vines. It occupies only 1 square, which is about 3 yards. It's fairly useful in the game and somewhat useful in the anime in specific situations (although more limited usefulness due to the size). She can be resummoned to build walls over time, but the action economy required makes it a less viable strategy.

Aside from these units there are also cat girls, dog girls, gun girls, mech piloting girls, monster girls, elves, fairies, urban girls, tan girls, moe girls, genki girls, kuudere, yandere, tsundere, glasses girls, shy girls with mysterious powers, mysterious girls with shy powers, cruel villain girls, devil girls, angel girls, class presidents, pink haired girls, typical sweet girls, psychotic girls, vampire girls, elemental girls, mahjong-playing girls, a bold and annoying flatchested girl, office ladies, and Soryu Asuka Langley who can use her special ability to summon EVA Unit 02 onto the battlefield temporarily and cause it to go rip**** on all enemies (she was a secret character in the game but didn't feature in the anime).

In the game Roman can be killed by either three Normal attacks or two Heavy attacks. In the anime she is shown to be quite durable, displaying your standard protagonist 'willpower durability' and getting back up after suffering mortal wounds on several occasions (survives an explosion at one point and impalement at another . . . both of which WOULD technically count as just a single "Heavy attack" by her game's mechanics) to deliver a badass speech before coming back and securing a victory.

well she's from a strategy game so I imagine her as being more of a tactical commander type. summoning an army of units and literally going to war with enemies.

Asuka can stay on the battlefield indefinitely (unless she gets killed) but she's sort of a useless unit by herself. when she sacrifices herself to activate her special ability, the EVA Unit 02 basically just wildly attacks all enemy units for '1 turn'.

so uh

open for interpretation, I guess!

although like if she were fighting someone that wasn't a summoner, I could see other strategies being way more viable. summon Samurai Girl A and B and send them after the enemy, then start hounding them with ranged attacks as well. I don't see many people as being capable of fighting off Date Masamune and Oda Nobunaga at the same time while being pelted with ranged/magic attacks.

hm, would that be the anime personality given? i think the standard anime trope there is something like she starts off not knowing too much on how to summon her otome and then by the end she's strategically summoning them to win battles. the writeup being done is cool, though if there's any specific details/explanations (like the eva one) you're free to change 'em, unless you really want that to be the end of it too. there's obviously gonna be questions people have.

the thing is, I know that if I detailed everything the write-up is going to just keep growing and growing until the length gets out of hand. I found a sweet spot right here where it gives enough information on how the character works, examples of enough of the units that you can imagine what the other unit types are generally like, etc.

if people have questions I will probably elaborate on how stuff works but I do want this to be the absolutely final canon version. if I say something later that people disagree with, they don't have to go with my interpretation of the character exactly. . . even though I DO have an idea of how the character works.

and yes, what you describe as being the anime versions personality sounds accurate. her "peak" form in my mind would be the Harem Queen of Japan version from the end of the anime who has an army of units that she is used to strategically summoning to win large scale battles.

for Roman, that first paragraph could be enough really and then a pastebin link to the full write-up for people to use as reference. that way the information is available to all but the lengthy write-up doesn't clog up the topic. I'd suggest doing the same with any of the other characters who end up being more than a paragraph (just for consistency sake since 2 paragraphs isn't really disruptive, but).

yeah, i'll try to keep it similar to that way, description sections being writeups and the details being somewhere. will look for what best wiki option there is as this seems like the kind of thing they're good for. i was thinking of her writeup going through "dispelled" on the 3rd 'paragraph' since it completes that aspect of her. 2nd tells us how she looks and some basic backstory, 3rd gives us a better idea of how the summons work. if it's just the 1st it feels a bit incomplete, but that WOULD be the sort of thing that'd allow single post starts.

Oh, and to address a few of your questions about Anastasia...

Took me awhile to write that up, I'm slow >_>. But I swear to god I've been designing this character and story long before this topic.

Anastasia has an... unusual value on human life. Her goal in life is, first and foremost, to kill the god that she hates. To that end, she'll need all the help she can get, such as gathering allies and weapons. She'd really rather not waste a potential god-killer if she can help it. If the target in question is both useless to her plans and a danger to her, she has no qualms eradicating it.

Yeah, the restraints are nigh-invulnerable. Anastasia can't break it herself, and she keeps using her precog ability to test out new ways of breaking it, but as of this point in the story, nothing works. There's nobody on the planet with abilities and weapons like Shiki and Eveny though, and those things can break them. She can block projectiles with them... but remember, she's only as strong as a human female while all of them are still on. On that same vein, the restraints might be insanely tough, but she can't really swing her limbs hard enough to hurt most above-human durability enemies.

let's see ganon...
you could clarify exactly how the invisibility works on "Dont Get Caught." like is it just his body, his body + his clothes? his body + clothes/what he's holding? it's the only problem invisibility ever really has, there's not REALLY a consistency to it beyond the naked one. like i've always wondered how jackets or shoes got counted on invisibility too as they don't always have to be touching skin. personally i see it as anything that's in direct contact + up 1 layer of that (e.g., feet -> socks -> shoes), but others may not.

"Keep your piece" = firearm i assume and not fireman? unless he's summoning William Shatners to the fight when he summons rockets. only thing i can think of is that reading him leads me to interp that since he seems to be grounded in the real world set of weaponry he's not able to make sci-fi guns, like a black hole gun or something.

i assume the Gate of B****es is also left to interp on the FF mage on purpose. if you've anyideas on what the powerful magic from his successful album is too there'd be that which can be worked on.

-he's supposed to be able to go completely invisible, everything he has on him. I guess if he was to remove clothing or whatever it would become visible again. guns are a different story, he can make them invisible/destroy them at a distance.

-yes it's supposed to be FIREARMS. Also yes, he's grounded to modern-day weapons.

-as for the gate, by high-end ff mage I mean they have a variety of very good elemental/holy magic, but nothing continent/world-busting.

i've still gotta see things from the earlier page too, but to respond to a couple things here:

- pram, it's cool if it's been done long before. just was an odd timing, considering how damn long it is i believe it. it's also good to see not a 'i insta kill you!' kind of character. i don't know what the high end of breaking those things are still, like from the sounds of it bleach characters wouldn't be able to either, to use a more well known 'high end' shounen show.

and good point on her body being ultimately what restrains abuse on 'em. can you clarify a bit more on the time powers? i think that's what will confuse most people with her.

I'm having a hard time deciding what to do next. I have my characters who are interesting but too weak (Eliza, Tenka), have the wrong personality for something like this (Eliza again, Serenade), to simple to be fun (Butcher Arachne, Gant) or just plain too damn strong (every crystal being, the true elementals, mid level Tenma versions, etc.)

I might roll out Regal though, but he's still a bit on the low end at this point. I'ma think about it.

Keyuri

The unliving gravekeeper; Keyuri is a homonculus of sorts, although her origins are not magical in nature. She is a paranormal construct, a well of ectoplasmic energy that possessed a humanoid doll. She is in truth an ancient spirit who watches over the passageways that connect the world of the living to the world of the dead, although she is not aware of this herself. When she was trapped in doll form, she lost all of her memories and knowledge of the world of the dead. However, she still possesses various powers that she came to master the use of in her new form; generation and manipulation of phantom energy, poltergeist clouds (including fine control of inanimate objects), and supernatural awareness.

Keyuri is a 5 foot tall Red Riding Hood doll. She has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes painted onto her face. The eyes do not function. Her joints and such are clearly visible beneath her cloak and her hands are doll-like in appearance with balls and joints. It is impossible for Keyuri to pass as a normal human female. She has two razorblades hidden in her cloak at all times. Additionally, a spool of a very strong wire is kept inside the core of her body. It exits through a hole in her left hand and can be connected to a giant fishook she wears at her hip.

Phantom Energy - Phantom Energy manifests in the form of green or purple blobs of energy, or a darker mistlike substance. Sometimes a mix of two or all three. It can be used to make simple constructs or simply to assail foes at range or up close. Phantom Energy can only be used to attack, it cannot be used to shield. The reason for this is that if one tries to touch Phantom Energy, their attack would go right through it. For some reason, though, physical objects can be touched by Phantom Energy. Because it is a paranormal phenomena, there is no explanation given for this. She can also spread ectoplasm across an area to attract or feed spirits.

Poltergeist Cloud - Bursts of psychokinetic energy that trigger an area and can be activated at range. Things inside the 'cloud' get shaken or thrown about by an unseen and unpredictable force. Keyuri's core is made up of a stable Poltergeist Cloud that controls her doll form by filling the doll up inside entirely. Poltergeist Clouds can be used to manipulate objects with fine precision, although it requires more focus. For this reason, it takes her about as much conscious effort to move and interact with the world as it would a normal person. Poltergeist Clouds cannot move or affect organics, but the inanimate objects that are tossed about can pelt people and damage them.

Supernatural Awareness - Her eyes are just painted on and don't actually work. Nor does she have ears. However, she is able to detect things (sights, sounds, smells, etc.) up to a radius of 300 yards around herself. Although she can perfectly detect anything within this radius, she is vulnerable to things outside this radius as she is completely unaware of them.

Her fighting style generally involves a mix of two-handed knifefighting (she is very agile and can move in unnatural ways, and her razorblades are incredibly deadly), generating phantom energy projectiles or constructs to harass foes at any range, or targeting areas with Poltergeist Clouds to cause short bursts of chaos that distract enemies and make them more vulnerable. Additionally, she is skilled with her fishhook weapon. The spool of thread allows her to attack at a fairly long range, set up wires across a battlefield, and tangle foes or even bind them. Additionally, the fishook can be used to stab or hook foes.

If her doll parts are destroyed or damaged she can keep fighting as long as her ectoplasmic core isn't ruptured. Once her ectoplasm leaks out of her core, her presence will fade away into nothingness.

On terrain, I suggest we create several different stages pulled from well-known areas. For each stage, do a writeup - then pull a random stage for each match from the database. For instance:

Stage: New York City (abandoned)
This match will take place in a surreal version of present-day New York City, except with no people. Electricity will run throughout the city until it breaks down naturally from lack of human maintenance. The competitors will first appear on opposite ends of Central Park and will begin knowing the other's starting location, though out of sight.

--

Have a bunch of neutral stages created beforehand, with writeups ready. It'll be easy to draw one randomly. Final Destination, Alaskan tundra, Saharan Desert, etc.

I don't have a preference one way or the other toward terrain. it could definitely add an interesting and fresh aspect, but the way things had always been is fine too.

understandable.
way i'm intending to go right now is, during the 'let's start the contest' phase, either me or the creators pick X amount of terrains as the character's "favorite" and Y amount that are disliked. 2 people's favorites = goes there. not wanted = terrain removed from randomizer. still think that'd avoid the worst matches and raise the odds of the better ones.

sounds like it could work. my only concern with terrains is the danger of people putting TOO much emphasis on them. not that I'm saying that's what I think will happen, but if it does it'll kind of diminish the most powerful "character" aspect. a good example is in the random spell elimination tournament. there were a few matches where people would be arguing and their key argument was based solely around the terrain and not so much around the spells the contestants had.

the example that Zeriercahl gave sounds like it would be cool though since it gives more imagination to where the fight would be taking place without the terrain being too much of an overbearing aspect.

yep, terrain is basically the most powerful skill a fighter has. you can have matches go from 1/100 in someone's favor to 99/100 just by changing it. definitely intend to be strict with it. using Zeri's terrain as an example, i'd just change it to knowing a general area of where they are, to avoid something dumb like "nukes that spot match over." general can't avoid that completely but hell of a lot better than something that can concievably be read as specific.

Well, part of the reason the RST had so many matches determined by terrain at least at first, was there were a few matches with next to no viable spells for combat in them <_<. Some things like the blessed snares match were a bit lol though.

Another idea I had, here's the rough draft.

The Disease That Hates

During the great Majick War in the Osiris-Beta Galaxy, a group of scientists on one side of the conflict created a magical disease that can eat through magic and powers, can destroy any of their opponents. They gave this disease the ability to think at a roughly human level, believing it could have better survival instincts. Instead, the Disease grew a hatred for life and anything living, and quickly overwhelmed and destroyed all living matter in the whole galaxy.

The Disease is highly infectious and contagious disease that can infect any living thing. It is cognitive and intelligent, and hates every living thing. It's one goal is to destroy all living matter. The Disease is a disconnected hive mind, possession/mind control has no effect on it. It starts as a barely-visible cloud of dark gas around the size of an adult human. The more living matter it infects and kills (ex: the fight takes place in a grassy field, The Disease will attack not only the opponent but all plant life around it) the bigger the "cloud" will get. It will roughly double in size for every pound of matter it destroys. The bigger it gets, the more visible and darker the Disease will become, until it so big that it can blanket the entire area in black fog.

Anything the Disease infects will take a wilted, black form. A tell-tale sign of the Disease beyond the cloud is living matter turning black. The Disease, unless under attack, will destroy the matter closest to it. So like in the grassy field, the Disease will attack the plants under/around it before it would move to the actual opponent. If it is attacked, even with abilities that cannot hurt it, it will prioritize the being that attacked.

The Disease is immune to magic. Quite the opposite, it flocks to magically dense areas like mosquitoes to water, it can fester and grow in places where magic has been cast/detonated. The Disease grows much faster in these magical areas that have magic around it, and can grow in completely urban/barren environments that has magic residue on it (but much slower than when it destroys living matter). The greater the magic cast, the the more the Disease grows from it. Of course, conventional weaponry besides anything with radioactive effects has no impact.

The Disease is constantly dying. Anytime it is not killing, it is slowly reducing in size. The smaller it is, the slower it can move. In it's human-size form, it spread and fly around at roughly the speed of a peak human sprint. This speed increase exponentially from wind and increasing in size. If a person could avoid contact with The Disease, they would easily out-live it.

The Disease can enter from any open wound/orifice, and can seep through fabric clothing. It attacks the spirit/magical/ethereal centers of a person and irrevocably corrodes and destroys it. Basically the more powerful a person, the more violent The Disease gets. Once any and all places of super powers are destroyed, it will move to destroy the central organs of a body. The Disease will keep the pain centers of the brain activated for as long as possible, to prolong the suffering of the living thing it hates so much. However, the less powerful a person is, the weaker the disease is inside of it. It will take much longer to kill a person/animal with no powers.

Intense radiation can eradicate The Disease, and is much slower in killing non-powered beings. In fact, The Disease could die inside of a non-powered being if there is no other living matter around before it can actually kill them.

Anjori Betts (updated)

Anjori is a dancer who can can create sound waves and high powered light rays (which give off high heat and radiation) by moving her body. She comes equipped with a hula-hoop

Powers
1. Sound creation
-Anjori can create soundwaves through movement. They travel at the speed of sound... The larger the movement the larger the wave. Flicking her wrist gives enough force to knock over an average man, while a full body movement can level a small building. She can link several various kinds of attacks in succession. The sound waves follow the direction of her movements, but have the ability to cover a very large area. Things like power moves will cause large concentrated sonic waves, while more complex and intricate can stun lock. By incorporating different dance techniques she can control the times when things like her sonic boom attacks hit.

2. Light creation
-She can also create light based attacks. They strike at the speed of light in a vaciuum. But is slowed down by outside effects. but don't hold any stopping power. So someone who is able to shrug off the damage can charge through it without resistance. Her light based attacks follow a straight path. They will reflect off of something reflective, given that it does not burn through it. The intensity is determined by how long she maintains a pose. The pose does not have to be complex, but the longest she can maintain a beam is 10 seconds. A sweeping move with cause the beam to sweep across an area. The rest of her light based attacks follow similar logic.

3. Sound Emission
-Anjori has the ability to constantly emit sonic waves from her body. Some of the applications she can use this for are...

Barriers: She can construct barriers consisting of highly dense sound waves. They can produce multiple sonic booms around it. The barriers can easily repel things like machine gun fire, and dissipate explosions, etc. The barrier will actually slow down things coming to her so she has more time to react and can choose to reinforce the barrier if she needs to. Something with enough mass and momentum can break through the barrier. She must consciously maintain this barrier. She can attack through it, but her movements are restricted.

Body Armor: Anjori has a constant body armor of sound waves. It gives the protection of a kevlar vest. It has the same properties of her stronger barriers. It is constantly active and requires no form of concentration. She can reinforce it if she has enough time to react.

Flight: She can use her sound waves to levitate and fly. She can levitate up to 1 foot in the air without any negative effects. She can maintain flight with minimal efforts and travel at the speed of sound. However complex flight moves takes active concentration.

Physical Enhancement: She can also extend the sound waves to parts of her body. She can also extend this to objects she holds (like her hula-hoop). She can use this to simply enhance her power, but can also apply it in ways like concentrating rapid sound waves around an object to make it razor sharp (if you've played deus ex, it has similar properties to the energy sword). It will also create millions of micro sonic booms upon contact and has the ability to break apart matter of things it can't initially cut through. Something very dense can take significant time to break apart.

4. Light Emission
Like sound, she can constantly emit light rays. The more powerful the ray the more intense the light is. Some applications of this are...

Maintain Body Temperature: She can use the heat from the rays of light to prevent her from freezing or to help repel high heat. It does not defend against sudden blasts of extreme cold or heat. But can completely cancel out a slow freeze.

Light Illusions: By bending light emitted from her body she can create illusions that she is in multiple locations, or simply just in a spot where she is not.

5. Other
Anjori has the ability to create sound without air (she can not however, breath without air). Her ears have an extremely high hearing range and can pick up on slight movements. She is unaffected by sounds she creates, and is resistant to loud sounds from external forces. She can also see in the dark. She can also use her sound booms to redirect her hoop if she throws it and bounce it around etc. her sound and light attacks can also mess up others hearing (and by extension balance) and vision.

6. Performance Mode
Given a difficult opponent she can enter into performance mode. This will put her into a dance routine that lasts for roughly 2 minutes. She will complete a performance unless she is physically unable to complete it. her power and technique are increased roughly 10 fold. She has several types of performances. However, high damaging ones expend the most energy. However, coupled with her help from sound waves she can maintain high intensity movement for much longer than a normal person. Once she is spent she recovers her energy at the same rate as a high level athlete. So it's possible to out last her if her opponent has enough stamina. She can only enter performance mode once every 10 minutes.

Personality
Anjori is very big on oneupmanship. And will constantly try to outdo her opponent. She is also a bit showoffish and will at times prolong a battle just so she can preform a grand finale attack of somesorts.

This will become finalized after Wang asks any question he needs to.

considering what we have here in the span of 2-3 days, i really AM thinking of doing that tier/league system mentioned earlier. it'd also avoid the possibility of some people feeling too restricted with their characters if they want to explore the higher end. mentioned earlier that i'm interested in a tiered league and think i'll go with it instead of a raw bracket contest because that may be more interesting. we'll see as we get more entries, but the creativity's been really surprising with some really, really good stuff. doing that much work for something that'd be used as an offshoot once-and-done contest is just... wrong. snubbing someone to make a better tourney despite them being good isn't something i'm against doing either, but if i can get a system down to fit a more unorthodox competition and satisfy most issues with both of that, well...

anyway, will post in a few some ideas on that.

...but before i post that, should prob kill some of that backlog. starting with the last edited one:

Chrono - Anjori Betts

singer/dancer is cool to have and a lot of her powers are pretty interesting, but her Light creation is weird. they strike at the speed of light in a vacuum, yet can be slowed by outside effects? like... gravity and air? not sure what you mean there exactly, something like the base of the move starts as light in a vacuum, but it's vulnerable to the standard limitations light has? and while i assume you mean the light beam just passes through them like a clean hit with no knockback done, i'm... not sure you quite realize the difference between light and sound speed. a beam at light speed would have an incredible amount of penetration to it that isn't really a case of "shrug off the damage" if it can affect you. making a sweeping attack on that is pretty much just a firm cutting beam that you don't even realize happened. you focused a lot on her sound powers in there, but i'm not sure why she'd ever use them with a light speed attack. simply better to use in almost all scenarios because there... really isn't much of anything that isn't beat faster, better, and easier than just a light speed beam of death. can't really dodge that or see it comin'.

it just follows the laws normal light follows. Light travels at the speed of light in a vacuum, but things like air, glass, water etc slow light down (this applies to real life situations). The light she emits has no actual physical force behind the besides generating heat and radiation. To clarify, this is not a laser beam, nor is it like those movies where the heat from the sun melts the golden gate. In typical RPG terms a fast spread of light beams (like if she launched them with finger movements) would be like if you quadra magiced Fire 0.25. She can get to say, Flare and beyond like powers with larger more elaborate movements. I mean even a semi difficult movement would most likely kill a normal person, given that this person is unprotected. I don't want to compare too much before the actual matches, but something like the hyperorb would completely destroy Anjori.

She can make a sweeping motion, but her light attacks must follow a straight line (unless reflected) or in the direction of the sweep. Her sound attacks cover a much large field and in general let her combo together attacks better. While she can launch a light attack very fast, it's unlikely to heavily effect anyone around her power level. Remember also that while the attacks themselves are fast, she must preform movements to launch them and these can take a lot of time (relatively speaking).

She can create light through movement too, she can not create sound and light through the same movement, but can switch freely between them. From movement to movement.
