1. Frog's Theme - Very easy match
4. Chrono Trigger ~ Main Theme TDTWR is a Top 10 song on the soundtrack imo, but Main Theme is Top 5.
3. Battle with Magus - Kingdom Trial is one of the weaker songs left in the contest.

8. Tyran Castle - best song in the game. Frog's Theme is okay but overrated.
4. Chrono Trigger ~ Main Theme - by far the toughest match yet. These are both really great.
3. Battle With Magus - not my favorite but a great song. Trial music is decent.
10. Black Dream - not much to say here, both are average

8. Tyran Castle - I've never understood why Frog's Theme is so beloved... it's a good song, but strictly mid tier as far as Chrono Trigger songs go. I like Tyran Castle better.

5. The Day the World Revived - This one is a difficult decision.

6. Kingdom Trial - I used to really love Battle With Magus, but I've gotten tired of it and don't like it as much as I used to. Kingdom Trial is cool.

2. Peaceful Days ~ World Map Theme 1 - Both are good, but the map theme is more memorable to me and is one of the songs that encapsulates the feeling of playing CT.

8. Tyran Castle - I don't like Tyran Castle as much as Xuxon does (though I do love the groove to it), but I think Frog's Theme is one of the most overrated tracks of any game.
4. Chrono Trigger ~ Main Theme - MY personal favorite, aside from Corridors of Time.

10. Black Dream - The way it sporadically uses the piano and other instruments.... I like the aura it creates.

I decided to make my top 16... well, top 15 now that I decided I didn't like a certain track as much as I thought I did.... Tell me what you think ought to be on that list maybe I will see the light regarding that track!

Typical contest rules include no rallying (though cheering is ok, I suppose,) and no mid-thread vote tallies. The idea is that we want the winner to be what the majority would legitimately pick, not what someone managed to sway the voters toward or away from.

Rallying I guess I get, but anyone with eyes and basic math can do tallies on their own. Ah whatever, rules are rules.

When I first played the game, Frog's Theme was probably my favourite track... Along with Wind Scene it just seemed so much better than the rest of the soundtrack. But on subsequent playthroughs I discovered that pretty much every tune is great, and my opinion of Frog's Theme has been falling steadily since the beginning. Tyran Castle is one of the themes I fell in love with on my last experience with the game on the DS... and I have to admit it was an easy win.

Other matches were all pretty easy for me this time as well.

True, but most people don't bother. When you say something like "c'mon, XXX is only down by one!" it has two effects. It can cause people to vote for it because they go "oh wow, we could pull off the upset. It can also cause people to not vote for it because they don't want to upset the space-time continuuuum, but otherwise would have voted for it out of novelty.

I felt the same way as you do until I actually ignored the rules on a VGMC round and posted that a song I wanted to win was actually ahead...and magically the next like 8 votes all went against it. Yes, it's possible that could have just been natural voting, but it does seem a little fishy that suddenly everyone just stopped voting for my favorite.

I guess that's fair. You can cancel out my vote for the match in question if you think I impacted anything, but it was only up for twenty minutes so I dunno
