To sum up: You have an account that goes up to level 30 (this is your summoner level) You earn XP (to level up the account) and IP (to buy champions/runes) every time you play a match You have rune pages (with up to 30 slots) You have a mastery page to spec (with up to 30 points) (and you can respec as much as you want)
This is probably a bit over-kill and so if something doesnt quite make sense just ask and someone will clarify. And if you are going to start playing please post: (1) Your GameFAQs name (2) Your Summoner name (this is different than your log-in name) (3) Your preferred champions. Its just nice to know which champions people prefer to play or use the most.
And please BOLD THE INFORMATION so we will see it and update the list accordingly. Or, you know, add it yourself.
Remember: If you wish to see your player information updated, please bold the information so we will see it.

What is League of Legends? League of Legends is a team game very similar to the WarCraft 3 custom map DotA. There are two bases, one on either side of the map and several "lanes" between the bases along which AI controlled units spawn. An overhead view of the 5v5 map looks about like this:
There is a base in the bottom left, and a base in the top right. 3 lanes connect the two bases and every 30 seconds AI controlled "minions" spawn in each lane. Everyone who is in the game controls 1 "champion" unit and your job as a team is to push your lanes and destroy the opposing base. The lanes are protected by turrets and so you need your own minions along side you to be able to kill the turrets without getting targeted by them. 2 bases, 3 lanes, 5 players per team. There is also The Crystal Scar, the map currently used for the Dominion game mode. The Dominion overhead view looks like this:
Okay I am in game! How do I chat with AWESOME BOARD 8ERS LIKE Forceful Dragon and Lopen!?
On your sidebar, there's a chat rooms option. You can choose to join a custom chat room. Just type in "board 8" and it will put you in there. Then in your options menu, which looks like a gear, you can set the option to auto-join.
What are Champions? Champions are the powerful units that you get to control. You pick 1 before the map loads and that is the champion you will use for that match. Champions start each match at level 1 their max level is 18. The important thing to consider is the stats of the champion you select will be affected by the level of your account.
What do 'account-levels' have to do with anything? When you create an account you have a level 1 account. That is called your 'Summoner Level'. You are the summoner, and the champion you select for the match is the 'summoned'. You increase your summoner level by playing matches. Every match you play will earn you XP and IP. Earning enough XP will increase your summoner level with the max level being 30. Wins are worth more XP/IP than losses, so try to win. Your summoner level also determines: (1) How many runes you can slot and (2) How many mastery points you can allot
If you are low leveled still and playing by yourself then the game will try and pair you against similarly leveled opponents, but if you are playing with higher leveled friends then it will seek higher leveled opponents. Just something to consider when you start learning how to play.
What is IP again? IP is the other kind of points you earn when you play matches. You earn both XP and IP and IP are the points that you use to purchase runes and champions. Yes, thats right, you have to "buy" the champions, but you get the points for free so its not a bad deal. (You can also spend real money on champion packs if you would rather not take the time to earn them) The point is that you get the IP for free so you should figure out which champions you are good with and spend it on those. When you buy a champion you will have it unlocked on your account forever. And if you don't buy ANY champions, you will still have access to 10 of them. Every week there are 10 "free" champions. But they are only free for the week and 10 different champions will be free the next week. And so if you are level 1 you still have 10 champions available to you and so try them out, figure out which one you might like to spend points on and then buy it.
And so IP is good for Champions and Runes. You can also spend *real money* to unlock champions but you can NOT unlock runes with real money, only IP and so runes have to be earned.

maybe. although I can't really play consistently because my internet at home is too volatile (to the point where I dont even try to play because it'll likely just crash during the game), so I end up playing at friends houses every couple of weeks
6-2. Hooray for trying to AD when you have a GP who is "supporting" but steals CS and then switches to top so our Ryze comes down and steals more cs. Needless to say, we lost.
I spent this morning trying to jungle Annie. I eventually got it to work, but she just gets so low. Like, 15 hp low. Like, wolves could randomly make it fail.
Her shield change should theoretically do amazing things in the jungle. 30 damage reflection and 63 armor, but she has no way to restore hp.

with masteries and quints, she could get 6% spell vamp at level one. Although her shield procs vamp, it's only the 1/3 for aoe abilities. So, she could get up to 2% spell vamp. Which means she heals for 2 when she's attacked 5 times.
EDIT: Also, I feel like she has to go 21 in to the offense tree. I didn't try 21 into defense, that might make it a lot easier.

I've come to the conclusion that I don't know how to handle Vlad top
any tips?
It didn't help that our jungle trundle came to gank once the whole game (I was Lee Sin)
I was feeding so bad but we came back anyway because the enemy team apparantly didn't realize we were all stacking MR and they just kept piling on the AP so it went from them obliterating us to an equal fight to us obliterating them
From: VincentLauw | #024 I've come to the conclusion that I don't know how to handle Vlad top
It is definitely an annoying situation. Typically I would look for a champion who can do a few things.
1) Champion who can run ignite and has enough damage to secure the kill. You need to get to a point where you recognize "i I go RIGHT now, and drop my ignite then vlad WILL die". There are some top laners who do not have this damage. You can't simply put ignite on singed and expect him to be able to take out a competent vlad in early laning.
2) I would also recommend someone who can with some regularity force vlad into using his pool. Suppose you are playing Sion top. You could have level 1 stun, but level 4 shield (lets say your sion is level 7 =P). There is a good chance that vlad might decide to pool after you throw your stun at him. His pool being longer than your CD that forced him to pool will cause him to (a) lose nearly as much HP as if he let you pew pew him and (b) give you an opportunity to engage again with pool being down.
Honestly while I wrote this up I thought of riven. Start boots and rush hexdrinker (to give yourself the vlad ult insurance) and riven has plenty of damage and cooldowns to just stay on his face forcing him to pool or get stunned. And she's got enough dash abilities to chase through the pool as well.
But as much as it is the champion choice it is still being able to recognize when you are in a position to go for the kill. And to disguise it so vlad doesn't realize he's about to die.

I'd choose Sivir. She can poke from a fair range, she has her Spell Shield, and her passive/ult combined with Ghost/Ignite means the puddling won't save Vlad if he overextends himself.

I tend to treat Vlad like Morde: force him to CS or harass. Never let him E both you and minions.
Don't let him regen all his health either. If you do then the trades are pointless. Riven dumps on Vlad as does Teemo. Riven with Hexdrinker, Teemo with Wit's.
