From: GenesisSaga | #200 Change of plans. Instead of seeing it in 2D earlier, we've gone to see it in regular 3D (no IMAX) later. Waiting for it to start now, and they haven't even gotten to the previews yet. They need to hurry up!!! D: I liked it just as much the second time, how about you?
It was awesome the second time! It was a side theater, with few audience members so I caught a bunch of stuff I missed during the opening weekend because of "theater reaction". Example: Loki let out a long pathetic whimper after Hulk smashes him. I laughed so hard! That said, I kind of missed the comraderie of a whole bunch of the crowd yucking it up with me. Sadly, I stayed all the way through to the credit scenes (silly me I left the first time) and the Thanos one was great, but they cut the sound off right before the second one! >_< Something tells me I didn't miss anything except "om nom nom" anyway, but after sitting for like six or seven minutes some audio would've been cool. Ah wells
They didn't say anything during the Shawerma scene anyways.
Which in my opinion just adds to the humor because they are just so beleaguered and so the quiet makes it hilarious because you have to remember at which point in the movie that scene occurred.
From: Ayuyu | Posted: 5/27/2012 1:56:04 PM | #206 A bunch of my friends went to see it, they said it sucked because it was just people fighting all the time.
I wonder what the hell they expected from a superhero movie.
Why do you have such terrible opinions

I do because I can.....and because I'm bored. http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/4565/mgrok.png
I think the point was that Ayuyu implied all superhero movies "just have fighting all the time." Which isn't true. It's true enough that The Avengers didn't have a terribly deep story, though.
And it still managed to be deeper than I expected.
As for that last credit scene, I went a second time and this time noticed how Banner seems to be the only one enjoying it at all. That made me chuckle.
Tried 3D this time, I guess it just isn't for me. Whenever it had moving stuff that took advantage the the 3D it just seemed unfocused and made me a little dizzy.

From: The Real Truth | #215 Did anyone feel like a certain scene in the beginning of the movie was paying homage to the ending of Buffy? It certainly felt like that to me.
Might I direct your attention towards Post 166 =P
But yes that was the impression I got as well. I don't think I've seen it explicitly stated anywhere as being a nod towards buffy by Whedon himself, but I think it's a strong bet that it was.
