Why are they in everything? The onion is a vegetable grown in hell.
Right off the bat, the smell is horrible. It's like if body odor had some terrible B.O. of it's own, that's the best way to describe the smell. If the rancid stench isn't enough to make you throw up everything you had prior, the taste is just down right offensively bad, and it completely ruins the taste everything they touch, especially when cut into tiny little pieces so you can't eat around them or pick them out.
Horrible abomination of everything.

I don't like onions either though that's partly because they're poisonous to me. Whenever I want to eat spaghetti I make sure to find a sauce or paste without any onions.
I used to be the same way until i got a roommate that knew how to cook and used onions all the time. By themselves i still can't stand them but they enhance the flavor of so many foods that outright not eating them is such a terrible choice.

There is only one thing worse than onions, and that is the pickle. How those two became burger staples I will never understand.
I love onions on burgers, but I am so with you on Pickle. I refuse to eat anything with pickles. It is gross and ruins everything. And you can't even just take it off because it leaves a strong aftertaste.
This was one of the stupidest things I've ever laid eyes on. After the grocery store part I could never take anything this person writes seriously ever again. He also calls himself an adult but can't write a decent sentence without cussing, haha
Also, there are some rare occurrences where onions are tolerable but never necessary.

Onions are amazing as a topping. Obviously just eating straight onions would be bad but they are usually a great complement and/or cooked to deliciousness.
Although if your hate of onion rings prevents you from eating onion rings then I just feel sorry for you.
Onions are so incredibly versatile. If you say you hate onions, you are cutting out tons of foods. Maybe you just hate raw white onions? Because those definitely have a pungent and sharp and overpowering flavor and scent.

Red bell peppers raw are the best vegetable by far. Super crisp and refreshing crunchy texture, slightly citrusy flavor. Yellow and orange are obviously in between, but they aren't bad compared to green. I would definitely Iron Chef a yellow bell pepper.

yes because using it as a flavor enhancer is the same thing as just putting (large or tiny) pieces of onion in food. Texture does not have anything to do with taste at all am I right
But onions are still good when chopped and put in food. Unless it's some weird non-complementary food that had onions thrown at it randomly, in which case you're probably just eating bad food. So I guess I don't get what you're complaining about.

because that second statement applies to literally almost every kind of food. i cannot think of any kind of food i like that i feel goes well with every other kind of food.
