I have read very few King stories (not even most of his more acclaimed work except for The Green Mile) but I thoroughly enjoyed the Bachman ones

Misery, my favorite of his novels, at 6.

The Shining, which isn't all that great, is at 4, presumably because of how good/influential the movie was. Arg

As much as I love Wizard & Glass, in his entire canon, it feels about right, even if the books in front of it aren't necessarily the right half dozen

Oof, Black House too low for my tastes. And Talisman too high.

Ooh, and Faithful makes the list! Yes! It definitely should be higher. Also, how hasn't "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" shown up yet?

It is, and yet curiously I happen to be reading it right now and I've never looked at the man's work before. (Unless you count the myriad movies made from his books.) And it is a decent book, I suppose, but I hesitate to believe it's as good as his actual works of fiction.

And if villains get too much love, what about secondaries? Those characters, aside from the main or major protagonist, who don'tg et as much limelight or die too early in the story?

I'm pretty sure the contents of the top 5-10 will be predictable, if not the exact order.

So finally started reading.

What a terrible terrible ranking.

He literally says The Langoliers is one of the best novellas and The Library Policeman was one of the worst.

On Writing doesn't even give much writing advice, it's more of a memoir. I felt annoyed at that.
