I'm a huge fan of the red wines, especially the more bitter ones. I'll drink white, fruity wine, but I can't handle too much. I went to a few wineries and did some tastings and I really wanted to enjoy the Ports I was trying but just couldn't. I'll eat it one every so often as it'll hit the spot, but compared to the $2-3 a piece sushi restaurants the quality isn't good at all. As far as plum wine goes, the other thing to consider is you don't really drink plum wine like you do a red or white wine.
