to be fair like....probably the vast majority of those people are old and either in nursing homes or they just never leave the house...you know, due to being in awful physical condition.

In my experience, most of those people are tucked away at nursing homes or small suburban communities. But they definitely exist.

I've driven through, but that's it.

I've been to Lebanon a few times and that was scary enough. Never saw any hole-in-neck people though. Also I work in Springfield, that isn't much better...
