I remember that when Phantasy Star Online went offline on Sega's end, there were people who got their own server up so that the game could still be played. It would be awesome if that could be done for every game.

Haha splitscreen Demon's Souls would be so weird. I don't know if that would be a good experience at all. Plus the mechanics of the multiplayer just...don't lend itself well to that in the slightest.

Not to mention the framerate would most likely drop so much as to make the game unplayable.
