They probably just need to keep it PC exclusive for a while so it can sell. But figuring it already came out on the two main consoles (for this type of game), do you guys really think this will sell particularly well? My PC is powerful enough to run it smoothly even in the god-forsaken Blighttown, and maybe the network play will be improved with better pings so it's not just lagstabs all the time. At the least, there could be some interesting mods to play with. What I didn't think about at ALL was GFWL. It's incredible how it can systematically suck all the fun out of the game, when it's just a simple DRM system. Maybe it's because I've played stuff like NES and my ps3 didn't seem to have much of any problem with it (wasn't nearly as bad as 2-2 in Demon's Souls, which would literally freeze the ps3 sometimes and actually cause pauses from frame skips), but the fps was the least of your worries in blighttown. I mean, it's not exactly the most enjoyable part of the game just by design. It's a hassle and a chore, you work through it anyway. Making it slightly smoother still leaves everything in the design that makes it pretty annoying (the swamp, the long falls, the poison, the toxic, the narrow paths, etc) and it's not exactly the most aesthetically impressive area either. Heck, thanks to Demon's Souls, it just does nothing but remind me of world 5. Right around the moment you exited the mines into the main dropoff point overlooking the lava river it was almost a 50/50 chance it'd run horribly for me.
