If I'm wrong here, I think it's on Double Dragon II, feel like the versions may not match up to my liking, but again, I got lazy.

...That would explain it. I should have seen it coming because while typically these contests do not do that (at least from what I've observed - Frog's Theme was an exception) it also happened with Reset ~ Thank You here. Augh. And I guessed Tales of Graces f there just to go for the massive Tales series potential with Sakuraba even though I felt it was closer to Star Ocean's "feel" aughhhhhhhh. This is terrible!

Originally the contest rule was that no game would be repeated between months, but that was messed up this month with Guitar Hero 3.

What are you talking about with repeats though?

One of the rules is that no games from the previous monthly contests will be repeated (though the original Name That Tune contest is fair game.) However, DDJ later said, "Disregard that, there is a repeated game here." Double Dragon II (and Guitar Hero III) have both been used in the previous monthly contests and so would have been ineligible, if not for that update on the rules.

I'm not too thrilled with 17 being a complete match to Double Dragon II, so I could be wrong there.

I thought this was really hard, but I'm surprised at how many I got. Still, there were a lot of themes that felt way too familiar, even if I was sure I'd never heard them before. There are so many songs that have that distinct RPG-battle "feel" to them. 15 really bugged me. I knew it was Sakuraba, but I couldn't figure out from where. I just guessed something from the Tales series.

It took me a while to get there. My reactions progressed from:
