This is actually kind of embarrassing but it is B8 which for me is the perfect balance of not actually knowing you but not being anonymous either.

Basically the reason I am making this topic is because I always say I am going to start doing things and I never end up doing them or don't do them consistently. It all kinda came to a head today when I realized my acne hasn't been this bad since freshman year of high school, my toe was out of control (i'll get to that later) and I was actually struggling in my 3 final CC classes, which I thought would all be a breeze.

If you have any self-improvement suggestions, related to my real life or b8, please do share them. Otherwise this will be a daily check-in to make sure I did everything I was supposed to do. The current list is very much in a preliminary stage but i don't want to procrastinate this too.

Every Day
-Brush teeth 3 times
-Shower as soon as I wake up
-Put acne medication on in morning and evening
-Wash face every evening
-Do 50 sit-ups (I want to get rid of my stomach and turn it into a 6-pack. I know 50 isn't a lot but gotta start somewhere!)
-Walk dogs every night
-Do Chores
-Put my toe medication on (I have a fungus on my left pinkie toe)
-Dress not like a slob
-Use deodorant and cologne (as appropriate)
-Get to sleep at a decent time
-Get off computer an hour before bed (most nights)
-Post in this topic

Every School Day
-Wake up at least an hour before class
-Actually pay attention and take notes
-Study every night, I have no homework, I should at least be studying.

Every Work Day
-Eat before work
-Prepare a meal for work so I don't have to pay a ton for dinner
-Be prepared on time
-Get to work at least 3 minutes early every day

Weekly
-Cut toenails
-Shave

General
-Finish my transfer application process
-Be less arrogant

Well... any suggestions?

Advice on the 6-pack: Only do lower ab workouts, and run/walk daily. Most exercises and daily activities work your abs to begin with, cardio even more so, the lower abs are the hardest to reach, so only do those exercises, the other 4 will come naturally.

For abs you have to work out everything and eat healthy, basically.

Might I recommend getting p90x? It features Ab Ripper X and it's a program that gets everything else in shape too.

General productivity tools:

Be as specific and concrete as possible. "I will brush my teeth at 8:00am" or "I will walk the dogs right after I finish cleaning the last dish" (as opposed to: I will brush my teeth when I get up or Dogs after chores)

You already have a list so the autofocus system: http://www.markforster.net/autofocus-system/ could work.

tl;dr version. When you feel like working you take out your notebook, go down an entire page and pick the task you most feel like doing. There are caveats to how you get rid of tasks you never get around to doing and how you add tasks but that's the gist.

Books to help: Getting Things Done, Procrastination equation.

Specific goals:

If you have trouble going to sleep, your melatonin might be getting turned off by exposure to bright lights. There are several ways to fix it. 1) Turn off all your lights and download f.lux )( http://stereopsis.com/flux/ ) 2) If you don't want to turn off lights, you can buy non-blue spectrum lights from somewhere or a really dorky looking orange tinted glass 3) Just buy some melatonin. Don't take more than than 1.5mg (the smallest pill is about 3mg). There are side effects for some people such as headaches in the morning or suppression of REM sleep (aka sleep isn't as restful) but you can use it for two weeks or something to enforce a bed time (it's a lot easier to take a pill than to go to sleep!). It's a hormone so there are concerns that it could screw around with your natural secretors though.

On studying: If you want to memorize something, spaced repetition software is great. I personally use Anki ( http://ankisrs.net/ ) because it's stripped down but you can look around for stuff like supermemo etc. Just make a flash card's front and back and the program will automatically decide when you'll see them again to preserve memory.

http://calnewport.com/blog/ this site is helpful for less stressful studying. However, you will spend more time overall using that system, but that's a natural consequence of learning things well.

You don't need equipment, but having a nice pad, mat thing will be nice on your back, instead of laying on carpet or something.

Anyway, I personally do this one:

Here's a list of some though: http://www.workoutbox.com/exercises/ab-exercises/lower-ab-exercises/

Most don't require any equipment.

Ok. Just wanted to know some basic stuff, and all you really need to to do is follow basic stuff.

Eat your 3 meals, breakfast recommended to be the biggest, but it doesn't really need to be, if you can try to at least eat some toast, a bagel or some kind of bread in the morning. Wheat would be preferable.
If you are unable to make breakfast your largest meal, aim for dinner, your lunch should always be around the same amount, whether it just be a sandwich a drink, or a sandwich with salad, and a drink.

Cutting back on caffeine is always good, so if you don't drink it much of it to begin with, you really shouldn't have a problem with it. Unlike me...I need my caffeine or I get serious headaches.

I mentioned fish because, well it's good to eat fish, you don't want to eat too much of it though, that can actually cause problems for some people. Should, at the very least, have one serving of fish a week.

Other notable stuff, if you are just going on walks, doing small workouts, and are not concerned about muscle growth(not to be confused with muscle definition) you want to eat something with carbs, not vast amounts of protein, with a fruit of some kind. You should try to eat it 30 minutes- to an hour before the exercise, if you can't do it before, do it directly after.
If you are doing a heavy exercise, with more intense things like weight lifting, you should always try to get a large amount of protein, with an adequate amount of carbs, and those meals should always come before. Then afterwards have a glass of milk, or protein shakes, if you are into that.

Basically cardio and small ab workouts-Carbs is what you want.
Weight lifting and cardio-Carbs and protein is what you want.

Also, having a beer for like 3 days a week with your dinner is good to do, especially if you start a workout/exercise routine. It helps with metabolism.

And of course, you want your fruits and vegetables if you can get them in.

You want a routine that turns into habit basically, get foods that can fit into your budget, that may mean not eating the most healthiest of the healthy things in the world, but it's better than eating fastfood or something of the sort every day.

With all that being said, I'm not a nutritionist or anything, but I keep myself in relative good shape and while I won't claim to be the healthiest eater in the world(I don't exactly need to be either, since I'm blessed with a strong immune and metabolic system), but it's basic stuff you should follow.

Routine turns to habit, I'm echoing this thought because it's true, just stick with the most of what you can, and do it the best you can.

You don't need to buy p90x.

As a person who needs something productive to do with my body once summer hits, are we talking the obvious way or are the workouts written down/on YouTube somewhere?

As far as I know, the only things you need to do p90x is the plan, yourself, and basic willpower.

Cause the gym sucks.

-Why would you want to commute everyday?
-Depending on your schedule, you run into the problem of crowded times, and times when it is closed.
-Free weights are the only useful thing there (unless you're into classes maybe) and you should probably just buy them
-Also bad for people that are shy or antisocial.

-the point is to get in shape, not to be a lazy ass
-there are plenty of 24 hour gyms and most that aren't have flexible hours. crowds are usually never more than a minor inconvenience.
-there is lots more than free weights that is useful there. that is ridiculous. not everyone has room/a place to workout where they live, either.
-i literally have avoidant personality disorder and manage to get by okay. you don't have to talk to anyone.

basically if you don't have the motivation to overcome things like "i dont want to drive or be around another person" then you aren't gonna have the motivation to get in shape anyway.
