You know this is based on a book right? I mean stuff like the comments on the Occupy movement (which didn't exist when it was written) and how things are depicted in an unusual way from the Hollywood norm are pretty much explained by "they followed the themes and the feeling of the book". And from my understanding (having never read them) many of the issues with the future world and society are dealt with more indepth in the other books.

I do fully agree on the cinematography though. I will be so happy when shaky cams go out of style.

And yeah the whole reality show style of the actual event really caught me off guard but was also really interesting and handled really well.

I didn't find the shaky cam distracting. In fact I didn't even really notice it at all. But it never bothers me so you can't go by what I say.

I actually didn't find it nearly as bad as I usually do and didn't mind it within the battle itself but there were some times where it was distracting, annoying, or just out of place. At least for me.

The camera bothered me in the first few minutes but after that I didn't notice it.

Pretty good movie, a little better than the book.

I don't mean to imply that anything in the movie was directly inspired by Occupy, just that it's a possibly fortuitous connection that helped the movie's popularity.

I did add in a comment in the last paragraph about the books though. I thought I mentioned them, but I guess I edited that line out.
