From: SmartMuffin | #348 Basically, they signed him, gave him a MONSTER push, overnight he was in the semi-finals of their #1 contenders tournament which was getting pushed decently.... and then he no-showed on them and was basically like "screw these guys im never going back there"
Kinda like Lashley but without the 1-week notice.

Nah. Lashley was around for like a year. Rikishi was like, showed up one week. Won his first round match the next week in dominant fashion. Was PROBABLY going to go over Christian in his next match, but no-showed. Like, they were hyping him big-time, then suddenly next week it's all "JUNIOR FATU suffered an injury and has to forfeit his match, Christian gets a bye to the finals!" and then he was never mentioned again.

Point is, this is COMPLETELY different! By the time Lashley left, everyones head was so far up Hogan's ass they didn't have anything for him anyway. Dude wasn't in the middle of being pushed to ME status or anything...

His gimmick is AWESOME but it's a dead-end in WWE. They already have to tiptoe around actually using the word "rape van" enough with him on a show the censors don't even watch. <_<
His perverted creeper gimmick could actually flourish in TNA. A modern day completely hetero Orlando Jordan.

I dunno, I think they could probably make it work. He'd be a guy who could be hated because he's obviously such a low life who wants the divas and is immensely creepy about it. Obviously some jokes would need to be excluded or carefully made, but I don't think Johnny Curtis's gimmick is a dead end.

It's not like Johnny Curtis being a probable rapist is the only thing he has going for him. All of the aspects of his gimmick are incredible too. Hell, he didn't have any creeper things going on in the last episode and he still managed to be hilarious.

The fact that they cut McGillicutty taunting Tyson Kidd by sniffing Natalya's underwear from NXT this week really showed me the limits of Curtis's gimmick. :-(
EDIT: Although the more I think about it, the more I think the gimmick is strengthened by restraint and the power of suggestion.
But how much would WWE be willing to suggest if he was on a main show. <_<

From: PrivateBiscuit1 | #371 It was one though. Everything else he said and how he acted was perfect and hilarious.
Speaking of NXT, I really enjoyed the brief Maxine/Bateman interaction. They did a great job with just a few lines of realistically acting like exes who have moved on but aren't COMPLETELY over each other. It was the most subtle thing I've seen in WWE in a long time.

From: Jakyl25 | #338 They can't fire an Uso before they do the Uso vs. Uso match! I want to see how the crowd reacts to identical wrestlers fighting.
Didn't we get to see this with the Bellas when one of them was with Miz/Morrison and the other with the Colons? They were opposite alignments for a month or two, surely they managed to get in the ring against each other at some point?

Mistake you're making - overlooking the fact that we might not want to be saved.
The direction of the show changes so much occasionally that I feel like it must be farmed out to some intern or something and then when they move on the next intern gets a chance and is like "Forget Bate-Max, I want face Derrick and for Maxine to be with Curtis, and I want Striker gone and Regal in charge"

Oh, so what they did for Smackdown was lessen the volume of the YES! YES! YES! chants. Basically, it wasn't very audible throughout the segment, even though the crowd was chanting for it CONSTANTLY and they kept showing it. They did, however, let it play loudly when it was convenient for the segment.
Daniel Bryan is fantastic on the mic and really came across as a huge bastard though.
Edit: The crowd was still on Daniel Bryan's side though. After chewing out AJ, they chanted "Nananana nananana hey hey hey goodbye." lol

Heath Slater needs to find an offense that flows together better then what he currently has. Like he does something cool then looks awkward a second later. The Little Jimmy stuff was classic tho. Truth and Slater sold that perfectly.
