So 6 hours in, it's already better than DW2. I like how the missions can be done in 5-10 minutes, but there doesn't really seem to be much variety. Based on the trophy list, I'm gonna have to do hundreds of these missions but I'm in it for the long run (well at least until my Gamefly trial expires lol). I do like how some fields are strategic and have different effects (missile base, newtype facility, etc) and you're pretty much forced to shoot down aces because you can't rush the HQ like you could with DW7 since you'll get juggled by the pink lasers. Already got Amuro at level 33 and I hope I can max him out by the end of the week (Max is 50).
Getting all the achievements took me around 80 hours in DWG3 iirc
Meanwhile, I think I'm at nearly 200 in Sengoku Basara 3 and still probably have a few dozen left if I ever feel like getting platinum. That game is ridiculous.
yeah try to get rank 4 unlocked as soon as possible since they blow rank 3 out of the water
and get Unicorn unlocked for everyone as soon as possible so you have a gundam to cheese through everything with, it's seriously the most insane gundam in the game
also be a king always type 1 da best

My problem with DWG (at least, 1 and 2) is that the story felt really dull and since I don't know most of the characters, most of the Gundams just kind of felt lifeless. All of the characters in DW and (ostensibly) SW feel unique in their designs and personalities. With DWG, it feels like I become aware of the game's repetitiveness much quicker. >_>
I realize it's a pretty absurd thing to take issue with, especially in a game like Dynasty Warriors, but yeah.
Does DWG3 do anything different?

I felt like DW7 got repetitive waaaaaay faster than DWG:3 did. I haven't played the first two DWG games and the only other DW-style games I've played were DW5, 6, SW1, and WO1, and of those the only two I played to death were WO1 and DW5, so I might not burn out as fast as others, though.
It just felt like every mech controlled completely differently and very few were boring to use.

Do you have to increase tech level to be able to use some skills? I'm at Tech Level 8 and can't use Instant Hero for my Rank 4 Nu Gundam. Or are some skills unique to certain mobile suits?
