Buying an Island? A sport team? A game studio?

Hell no, I'd rather found my own indie game studio.

Oh and I'd build myself a small bookstore in my hometown, always dreamed of having my own bookstore.

All of them are trick choices. Most of the options would bleed money or have you end up bankrupt very soon.

It's not the same thing at all though.

Unless I buy a game studio, fire everybody working there and change its name.

Heck even then it wouldn't be the same.

You'd have to be completely moronic to pick Bioware if you buy a game studio.

The charitable option is the most likely one for me among those choices, especially since keeping a "little" of 640 million can mean like 100 million.

Pretty much what I'd do. I'd also buy myself some stuff(car, new house, games, etc) but that probably goes without saying.

I think I would actually put my two-weeks notice in at work instead of just quitting. My boss is pretty cool and it would be kind of a dick move to just leave, considering there are only 4 people in my department aside from my boss and the 4 of us have been buying tickets together.

After that, I would definitely share it with my family and my pre-winnings friends. That's a hell of a lot of money and certainly wouldn't need all of it.

I've never been much of the charitable type, not that I haven't given to charity or anything, and I don't consider myself stingy, but I tend to spread my charity among the people I'm closest to. I'd probably give some money to some wildlife fund, though.

Once I finally quit work, I wouldn't blow it all on some lame sports team dream, but I would definitely buy some awesome custom-made home, probably near mountains and then I'd spend most of my time learning the ancient art of bison charming.

Oh, and I would fund Suikoden VI.

You could pay your boss enough to be able to quit, then hire a douchebag as the new boss so you don't feel bad screwing him.

The only correct option.

This poll really could be the worst of all-time though. It's presented as if these would be popular options for normal people to spend that much money on.

I'd probably just buy a house and build a recording studio. If music production doesn't work out as a career... I could just live off my ridiculous amount of money.

Yeah, I really doubt most people who would win a huge amount of money would use it all on ONE big thing.

I think most of them would rather buy tons of lesser things like cars, a house, etc.

To be fair, "buy an island" and "buy a sports team" ARE popular choices to the average person.

The video game one doesn't fit, but then look what site we're on.

Actually, a lot of people usually say that kinda thing. Maybe in jest, but I know a lot of people when having this discussion would say they'd buy something like that when half a billion is suggested.

If you suggest "what would you do with a million dollars" then it gets a lot smaller in terms of what you'd buy.

No, seriously. Those are two really popular answers to these kinds of questions when the money amount is so high, because people don't actually take them seriously and spend more than five seconds thinking about it.

Unlike some people.

The dumbest bit about it is all include spending a ****load of it at once, or all.
HELL NO I'M NOT JUST DROPPING MY MONEY ON THE SPOT.

I'm in no circumstance someone that is gonna drop my money on any of those things. I won't be someone that doesn't know when to quit, and neither would I be someone that buys something huge, such as the game studio/sports team.

Those answers I said that for the reason that they'd give money back. Problem? People know you. To buy one of those things, you gain the fame of becoming new owner, and unless no one that knows you follows anything remote to that team, "hey, can I have some of that money?" That will be showing up in your daily life.

The only thing that says anything about partially saving for the future (which again, would be my main choice) is the charity. I am not a charity, and I'd be spending money on myself in those first moments until I've bought necessary things then set the money aside.
