solid game all around if you can get past the D+ quality voice acting. Was beginning to get a bit sick of it though when in the postgame I was fighting like my 25th or 30th optional boss. I lost count. Do they stop being optional at some point when there's so many of them?
now where was I again oh yeah middle of day 6 on hard those 3 god damn spider scythemanguys in a row
34/51 trophies obtained the quest for the platinum continues
Arc Rise Fantasia...solid? What. This is the game that makes you go through an entire dungeon without a save point, then fight a boss without a save point, then have that boss be able to first-turn petrify you. WITHOUT A SAVE POINT!

SHINE played real games before he can handle something like that.
It's far from being the only dungeon without a save point. It's just that the other dungeons have much easier bosses. There is a terrible lack of savepoints in that game. Like there are times I wanted to just stop playing the game and couldn't because there was nowhere to save.

I had forgotten about this >_>. I'm getting terrible flashbacks of forgetting to spread my party around now.
1st round petrify is nothing when some of the later bosses can 1st round 4000 damage with sickness, poison and paralysis to all party members if you're not prepared!
nah most dungeons did have a second save point right before a boss. Other than the Gula fight the only one I can remember not having a save point is the boss gauntlet at the Verdt Skywalk (not really a problem since I always backtracked to a savepoint anyway after each one) and then the bosses of the bonus dungeon (but you you can teleport out and save after each one anyway)
hardest fights in the game though weren't even from optional bosses or the bonus dungeon
it was those last 2 arena fights OH MY GOODNESS
one was pitting your party members against eachother boys vs girls and you had to be the girls
the other was a cameo battle against some ladies from Luminous Arc. I've never played Luminous Arc but if this fight was anything to go by they're the strongest characters in gaming history
after about 90 minutes of game overs I finally made it to the first checkpoint of Stage 1 on Master Ninja
had to get down the on-landing 360-Triangle launcher because it's the only reliable way to launch armored enemies 100% of the time. When you do one and then izuna drop the guy you can immediately do another one without worry because of invincibility frames.
Didn't need this move at all on hard mode, but it looks like it'll be the staple to my strategy on a lot of guys on Master Ninja
man I rarely ever rage at a game, but I almost did fighting that group of 5 alchemists on Day 2. Spent about 2 hours straight fighting just that group
There's no easy way to fight them on MNM and they were already near impossible on Hard mode. Had to use slideT--->Arrow--->OL 360T over and over again until I was finally able to kill the first 3 of them, then when the last 2 came just run away and arrow until they died.
They'll become much easier once I hit Day 5 because you get the Blade of the Archfiend there and then you can do a simple running SSS--->SSST combo to kill them
so currently getting the platinum in this game is impossible because there's an issue with ninja trials where certain missions always freeze up at the same point and are impossible to complete
Leader 1 - after the 2nd wave ends Master 2 - Right when the boss appears Master 3 - Right when the trial begins
I'm gonna keep working on master ninja mode in single player and hopefully a patch will be in the works by the time I finish that and I can come back to this game.
Finally beat that segment in Day 3 after just 30 minutes of trying this morning
this trick was I wasn't going into that fight saturday with enough life. I thought when you died and restarted it gives a set amount of life, but apparently that's not the case and it enters you with how much life you had the first time you reach the fight.
first time through my health bar was as low as it could have been for a full health bar so i was always dying in 1 grab and if I avoided those 2-3 knives would take me down
this time I didn't get hit in the fight before that and filled up my ninpo meter so that it gave me the big max health boost you get when the fight ends so I went into the 2nd fight with almost a full health bar and it stayed after my 1st game over much to my surprise so that fight was far more managable
all of which i probably will not get because I have no plans on getting most of the DLC for this game. Plus they're kind of ridiculous too. One asks you to complete both the story mode and the DLC trials on Ultimate Ninja difficulty.
Luckily they're not required for the platinum
Currently on Day 6 on MNM. Made a ton of progress today. Also finally got one of my friends to start doing Ninja Trials with me and was finally able to clear Leader 4. Leader 5 is next!
