I dont know how you people do it, it takes me weeks to write a paper

that's why I'm in a program that doesn't require papers

but they kill you by having 30 hour of class/week

Sorry for lack of responses, went to edit the second paper

They were 2500 words and 12-15 pages respectively. I hit 2510 words in one and four double-spaced lines into the twelfth page in the other. Woo!

One of my professors even said that he expects students to put in two hours per page on papers, one hour researching and one hour writing. I've never gotten below a B- on a paper and I've had him before so I don't know WTF he's smoking there. Do I really need to put in sixteen more hours just to get an A?

I wrote 4 actual papers for my entire undergrad. And one I had a partner with!

I had some lab reports, but they were pretty much all one page and just detailing results so I'm not counting them.

I've written papers in... two psych classes (short papers), quantum 2, and differential geometry (didn't expect to in those last two classes...) plus like 12 10ish page lab reports in a freshman lab, five 3-4 page reports in a digital logic class, and now I have three 15-20 page lab reports in an upper division lab. Lab reports suck, but avoiding papers for the most part has been nice.

Wow, now I feel like a loser for spending the last 9 hours on a programming assignment and only getting like 80% done

Dang, and I thought I had it bad with 3,000 words in 24 hours.

Granted, the topic was on about 1,000 pages of readings (and I had read zilch beforehand... it was fun -_-), but still. Impressive.

My best is a 33 page computer science project in 15 hours. 13 pages of that is code and I had nothing done at the beginning of the 15 hours.

EDIT: To be fair, a few pages are pictures, so it's not as impressive as it sounds.

It's bad enough that I procrastinated until the last day despite knowing two were due at the same time, but did I really have to wait until 7 PM to even start my research?
