I guess I understand why gays aren't considered mentally ill anymore, but how can someone who essentially thinks that they are someone else not be considered mentally defective/crazy?
Why is it "acceptable" if a man behaves, acts, and dresses like a woman--fully believing he is one-- but if a person started barking like a dog and believed he was a dog, he would be locked away in a mental institution?

There is nothing wrong with a person getting a sex change, and it say it's a mental illness on par of acting like a wild animal is just offensive towards people who have successfully gone through a sex change and lives a perfectly normal life.
You might want to think about your own maturity if you honestly think getting a sex change and acting like a dog is the same before you start accusing others of immaturity.

Well, I really don't have much to say on this issue. The best I can come up with is that this is how the grand propaganda machine has chosen to define things.
Oh, and also, women =/= dogs.

That's still pretty offensive consider it looks like you don't actually know what gay is. Or Transgendered for that matter. Shouldn't have gotten overturned due to how badly you worded it in the first place.
