I agree with this statement, but our rankings are very different.

At Thriller Bark I would have had Zoro > Luffy > Robin > Sanji > Usopp > Nami > Chopper > Brook > Franky

I think Brook is still kind of underdeveloped, considering that he joined and like, two days later whops, timeskip.

His gags got kind of old, but I like his general personality for some reason. Enough to generally prefer him over Usopp at least.

Brook's a skeleton. And a swordsman. And a bard! And he can run over water just by running really, really fast.

What's not to like? You can't tell me the gags will get old when the entire crew pretty much has their own little gag that they repeat forever anyway. (Sanji has a perma-boner for all women, Luffy and Chopper are dumb, Zoro gets lost all the time, Nami is greedy, etc.)

Sure it does. That character is awesome. This is my opinion it doesn't have to make "sense" to you anyway.

Edit: Some of this is also with bias on how much I liked them in Jump Ultimate Stars on the DS, too. Shame Brook wasn't even playable in that but oh well. Sanji was an absolute dunk machine!
