Welcome to the newest take on this topic series! We've updated some of the rules so come take a look!
Rules: - Obvious contest rules apply (no alts, one vote per person, no rallying, etc.). I reserve the right to change and enforce the rules at my discretion. - Voting lasts indefinitely. A new topic will be put up every weekday and sometimes on weekends, but you will be allowed to vote retroactively for any band that we have done previously. Just list the band(s) you are voting for in your post. - Please do not delete your post, but editing your vote is fine. You may not edit your vote after the next voting topic starts, however. Your votes will not be edited or removed retroactively. - Feel free to nominate a band/artist! You may nominate a band once a topic, but only if you have voted. You may not nominate the same band more than once. The band with the most nominations (at least 2) will go next in line. - Discussion is encouraged, but please keep it civil and respect the tastes of other users. I know not everyone likes the same kinds of music but try to be nice. - Please vote for songs only found in Studio Albums, EPs, Singles, or other official recordings. I will not normally accept votes for any other songs(but if you make a good case I may change my mind). Songs in which the artist is featured are not eligible for vote. - Voting is done in the format of +3, +2, +1. I will explain further and give examples of how you can vote below:
You may choose to give points to up to 3 songs by the selected band or artist. The more songs you rank, the more points you can give!
For example, let's say that the the band to be ranked is Mouse Rat. If I were ranking my top 3, I would present them in this format:
+3 The Pit +2 5000 Candles in the Wind +1 Sex Hair
If another user only knew or wanted to rank 1 song from the band, he would vote in this manner:
+1 November
The users who have a better familiarity with the artist will have more influence than users who only know one song. That way, the best song (but not necessarily the most well known song) hopefully wins.
I'm always open to suggestions on how to run this contest, so feel free to give me your input. With that said, let's get started!
10 The Man Who Sold the World 8 In Bloom 7 All Apologies 6 Lithium 5 About a Girl 5 Smells Like Teen Spirit 4 Something In the Way 4 You Know You're Right 4 Breed 4 Lake of Fire
No other songs received more than 3 points,
Yes, the top Nirvana song was their cover of another song. But still a good choice.

From: KingButz | #013 The Throne, that's a good question. I think of Watch the Throne as more Kanye than Jay-Z, but honestly I would count that album for either guy.
If you look at it realistically, it's basically Kayne-supervised production of Jay-Z songs with Kanye features
It's written like a Jay album, it's produced like a Ye album.
