It really seems like Homestuck has an inverse relationship between amount of new pages in an update and amount of new content in an update. I would have never thought that possible before reading this.

WV was healed in a dream bubble, so I think physical injuries like that would have killed him if they'd happened. For good too, since that would've been heroic.

WV was there in body, though.
And as such it probably would have killed Roxy if it hit.
Yeah, I'm fairly sure John wasn't in any real danger here. I'm more curious about this "plan" of Meenah's. If she is one of the pre-scratch trolls as people have guessed, maybe she died intentionally to escape the scratch?

Looks like it may be a fairly depressing conversation too, given this update! (It looks like this is the conversation Vriska and Terezi have right after maiming each other)
Edit: Actually, since it's Andrew we're talking about, it'll probably be depressing and hilarious at the same time.

I finally believe it. This is not butter. And I know deep down in my heart that I must become butter atheist.
Yeah but Meenah at least matched what we would expect from an alternate Condesce. Though thinking about it, Aranea sort of meshes with the writing style of Mindfang's journals, just not as badass.
Also, Vriska's reaction to getting blown up is amazing.

She's had a full ten or so lines of dialogue. I don't think there's a single character in the story with whom I've been misled by their first ten lines. If I don't like a character by that point, I'm probably never going to.

I do hope that you're not serious.

To be fair most of the characters in Homestuck have had first impressions that were pretty good or at least interesting. Except for maybe....Jade. and oh look who's the lamest (personality wise) of the first four kids
But actually to be completely honest I'm just wary of another big exposition drop and reading the last part of the conversation made me think that's where it looked like things are going.
I don't dislike Jade, she has some funny actions and has done some cool plot things with her powers and stuff, but it's just as a character she never interested me as much. I'd maybe put her above Rose who kind of became a plot robot but Rose at her best and snarkiest is just too good.

No problem with forming opinions as you go, so long as you leave them open to change. For instance, I disliked Vriska when she first appeared. Since then, she's become one of my favorites. But that doesn't mean there was anything wrong with my saying, when she first appeared, "This new troll seems pretty annoying."
On that note, Aranea seems pretty lame. So far.
