I'm almost starting to doubt Kim's chances now. She is getting too easy of a path to the end. She hasn't had any conflict yet. Yeah, it's still early, but we keep hearing from her how she's in the such great spots.

This. I think given the wording, a medivac will happen, but considering they fill the other tribe in on what's going on, I'm convinced it's a Manono. Could be anyone who goes. I'd be VERY surprised if they bring in that stretcher thing and don't end up hauling someone's ass outta the game...

A fair warning to everybody - last time there was a medivac that wasn't in the first episode was Russell in Samoa, and although the "Next time on..." only showed that there was a medivac but didn't say who, the bumpers throughout the week spoiled who it was. My recommendation is that if you want to be surprised as to who it is, avoid all things CBS/Survivor for the next seven days. I'm not even going to watch Amazing Race on Sunday.

Fans vs. Favorites - 2 medivacs, 1 quit (I don't count Fairplay's "quit" I legitimately believe that he wanted to stay in the game and it was edited to make it look like he quit)
Tocantins - 1 medivac
Samoa - 2 medivacs
Nicaragua - 2 quits
One World - 2 medivacs

Fairplay got himself voted out. Even if he intended to quit, I do not consider it a quit if it went to a vote. A vote means a person is "voted out" and therefore does not quit even if that person urged others to vote him/her out. That's how I personally judge that situation

Right, but what I'm saying is that he really didn't urge people to vote him out anymore than anyone else who has ever contemplated quitting (which is probably a pretty grandiose number and we've never seen a ton of it in the editing). But because Fairplay has pissed off a great number of people in production for non-gameplay reasons, they decided to embarrass him in the edit.

Comparison of the amount of discussion at this point in the season, compared to previous seasons:

Third topic started at:

South Pacific - during Ozzy/Jim double boot episode.
RI - right after Steph was voted out (though the first topic, had about 400 posts before the season even premiered)
Nicaragua - after Kelly B/Yve boot episode.
HvV - before Randy boot episode (although first topic had over 250 posts before premiere)
Samoa - right before the Finale was about to start lol.

Edit: Nevermind on Samoa. I didn't start saving them until partway through that season, so my "first" topic is during Erik's boot. So no clue really.

So why are Osten and Ian never considered on the same level? Neither of them ended in people writing names down. Yet people call Osten a quitter, and don't call Ian a quitter. It seems like they're both the same. Either they both quit, or they both were voted out. In Osten's case, Jeff went through and did a verbal kind of vote, instead of Osten just leaving like every other quitter.

I consider Ian a quitter. I just also consider his reasons more noble than Osten's.

Osten, Sue, Janu, Kathy, NaOnka and Kelly are definitely quitters, no doubt.

Jenna quit and probably shouldn't have been there in the first place for the same reason that she quit, but she really doesn't deserve to be on the same tier as those guys.

Ian is the one grey case. Technically speaking, Tom voted him out. But he gave up the final immunity under the condition that Tom would vote him out, so...
