Amon claims none of his family could fire bend. I think it could be the little boy that Zuko attacked, and could be a great connection between Aang's series and Korra's series. Plus a great reason to have Zuko still be alive.
The best time to reveal it would be when Zuko is with Korra and have Amon confront Zuko about it.
He didn't attack any little boys. He stole the horseostrich from a girl (Song) in "Cave of Two Lovers" where Iroh ingested a poison plant and they had to get help. He taught a boy (Lee) how to use broadswords in "Zuko Alone". Neither of them are likely to be related to Amon; I just got them mixed up.
Gotta agree with Crimmy about Bo Lin being Sokka Lite, but I don't really think Mako is Zuko Lite. They share simlar backstories but that's about it. He reminds me more of Jet actually. Let's hope he doesn't share the same fate. >_>
From: My Immortal | #263 My friends are claiming that one of Toph's kids and one of Zuko's kids got together and had Mako and Bo Lin. I hope that's true <3
You hope that Zuko and Toph's children were murdered?

Very nice episode today. Kind of sad the flashback was pretty much just the pictures already posted here. Very interesting Amon didn't take Korra's bending away. I wonder if that is a hint he can't really take bending away?
I feel like Asami's got something up her sleeve. I don't trust her. On the up side she's putting a chink in the Mako/Korra super lame romance beginnings, so of course I like her.

I agree. Tarlokk is obviously deceitful too. He could possibly be the Zhao of this season.
Was the flashback of the event Tarlokk was talking about that happened 50 years ago? That might somehow tie into the equalists

Possibly, but I think it makes sense, at least in a way that didn't seem ridiculously convoluted/cheesy. Neutralizing the Avatar is a really good way to piss a lot of people off.

I think Asami may become a spy for the equalists (doesn't want to but maybe something happens with her father either they get to him or perhaps that donator guy is an equalist supporter or something)
maybe she might just join the Korra crew
then again I think her design was based on Lust from Full Metal Alchemist so who knows

Yeah Asami adds a really cool dynamic to the character relationships right now. I like her.
But why are there 2 waterbenders on the council? One for northern tribe and one for southern?
Anyways, that was a pretty dramatic episode. They are definitely taking a more subtle style with this show than with the original series. Korra is such a bad Avatar too >__> she really needs to learn some airbending so she can do those impossible escapes that Aang always did.
I hope we don't get a bunch of episodes based around the "task force" following this one. I don't enjoy Tarlokk much. I'm intrigued by Asami, and I suspect she might well be being lined up as a "mole" by the donator guy. It's just too convenient - she's fallen straight into Mako's arms along with the money for the tournament. Of course, the problem for the Equalists will be that she'll actually fall in love with Mako and then "go native".
Best part of the episode was definitely developing the relationship between Amon and Korra - that's something the original series never really had (except right before the final fight, Ozai was far less of a fear for Aang than Azula, or even Zuko). Amon's a threatening villain, and I'd expect he's going to be very successful at first with Tarlokk and an inexperienced Korra as his foes.
Which notable character gets their bending powers removed first? Place your bets. My money's (sadly) going on Tenzin.

nightmares and daydreams seemed to imply otherwise but anyway
are we counting that rival team leader in the next episode? If so then him
