If you do land a chain combo, try cancelling out of the launcher with MP+MK, and going into knees with King. The Mishima thing in general is wavedashes with follow ups, Paul has a power dunk, forward moving super punch and a full screen sliding knee upper thing that is projectile/high immune in this game, It's mostly the older Tekken characters with the high mobility actually. I also need to try doing some mix ups with his low combos to really get vicious with him. With Paul, when I stopped and started actually thinking with how to play him, I actually started doing good with punishing your stuff with my own.
