wow julia's super is one frame. ibuki's might be 1 as well. ken is 2. akuma's raging demon and gief's super are zero frames, meaning you can't jump out of the way after the super flash.
also cammy's hk arrow is -9, safer than her lk or mk arrow but stil very much punishable.

I think the biggest problem with heavy hitters in this game is that they don't really have to get in to do their damage. That's what their tag partner is for.
That's mainly why I want to run Lili/(Kuma/Hugo) once I actually have the game.

in other news, screw cammy in this game. and probably all of the other sf chars except maybe juri. they just feel kind of gimped. this entire game seems like it was built off of juri's j.mp and ultra 1, so she seems a natural fit.

I love this because I can immediately nail a Phoenix Smasher at the start of every round!
lili counter BAM
Is that the moment that makes it all worthwhile?

I'm randomly getting hit by her long chains of whatever, and I've been spending good chunks of rounds against Ark just blocking so I can figure out if it's overheads or unblockables mixed in there or if there's variations or what, and I just can't tell.

No unblockables. The Jab followed by the overhead looking thing that doesn't combo isn't actually an overhead (I think), but you can go high or low after it. The move where she jumps across half the screen to do a slow punch that crumples, and the punches after a spin are both overheads, too. Everything else can be blocked low. I can't believe how much I like Julia in this game, always wanted to play her in the Tekken games, but I always completely sucked with her.
With Rolento, you should probably focus less on chain combos, and more on links into c. MK into rekkas. If you do land a chain combo, try cancelling out of the launcher with MP+MK, and going into knees with King.
I never figured out how to do anything with King, myself =(.
does anyone on the tekken side have attacks that move them in unique ways? things like cammy's spiral arrow (low attack that moves forward considerably) and hooligan and dive kicks are the main reason I enjoyed her so much in sf4.

Yea quite a bit of them actually. Since there are no fireballs in Tekken. A lot of the "Specials" are like movement abilities. The Mishima thing in general is wavedashes with follow ups, Paul has a power dunk, forward moving super punch and a full screen sliding knee upper thing that is projectile/high immune in this game, It's mostly the older Tekken characters with the high mobility actually. The newer characters are often more takes on old ones with crazy stances.
Once I got into the swing of things, I started playing much better. I would've picked different characters, but I'm still trying to get good at the game with these two. I'm getting there though. You're an excellent player though.

Yeah, good fights! Your Law kept getting scarier with every match.
That was my first time using a couple of those characters... Man, I didn't realize Asuka had such garbage normals outside of the command ones. Probably not going to be using her again <_<. Need to try and learn Xiaoyu, though.
Yeah, my biggest thing with Law is that I keep pressing LP one too many times and getting into his Machine Gun Jab and then I tried going to the next hit of his Dragon Rush and he just kind of stopped. I also need to try doing some mix ups with his low combos to really get vicious with him.
With Paul, when I stopped and started actually thinking with how to play him, I actually started doing good with punishing your stuff with my own. My biggest issue with him is that I keep accidentally trying for c.HP which ruins his entire tag out combo.
I'd definitely like to play with you again once I refine my guys a bit.

also I will be up for games later tonight if anyone else is. I've got absolutely nothing to do for the next week so I'll be free a bunch during that time period too.
