If you haven't watched that video, do it, trust me. I am Alive is a survival/action game with several interesting elements. There is platforming (looks like uncharted, but has a stamina bar like SotC apparently, so platforming is kind of a puzzle). There are encounters with enemies in which you have to carefully handle. And there is a story of a man looking for his family in his old hometown, and apparently you discover more about what happened as you go along. It looks awesome. WATCH THE VIDEO.
-------------------- Journey PSN $15
This is only available this week if you are a PS+ member, if not, you have to wait another week. Journey is a 3 hourish exploration/light puzzle game with some interesting co-op elements. It looked more boring that interesting to me, but the metacritic currently sits at "92", so it might be worth some consideration, even if it doesn't look immediately appealing. This seems like one that might have some divisive reactions.
------------------------- posted it early this week because of how HUGE this week is, seriously. Couple in ME3 and man, what a crazy week for games. I'll post info on any demos/add ons/deals this week once they come out.
Holy cow, I Am Alive is a downloadable game? I seriously had no idea. I'll have to pick it up once it's on PSN. For now I'll just wait for Journey, though.

I've seen this reaction a lot, pretty cool. I think they were saying it is like 6-8 hours too, so really solid length as well. It was originally supposed to be retail, so I imagine thats a factor in people not knowing.

Yeah I remember the original trailer presenting it as if it was going to be a full retail, blockbuster game. I really didn't hear much about it after that, so this comes as a bit of a surprise.

Yeah it's kind of limbo-y, except with more color. That style is becoming popular in a lot of games on XBLA . Puzzle platformer also so another limbo comparison.
deadlight looks like it might actually have a good story though

IAA not really my thing. They seem really big on the idea that you don't have to shoot some people, but it doesn't look like it conveys any sort of emotional weight at all with their overall design. Essentially "not shooting" becomes another type of weapon selection in this case.
Journey is hard to figure out. That video worried me because it used the term "Sixaxis" and the people talking didn't immediately start laughing.
Eh, I don't think sixaxis controls are a bad idea by default. It's just a matter of not trying to do something too ambitious with them. If you attach them to a very simple mechanic I think it can work well. I liked using the sixaxis in Mirror's Edge for balancing when walking across a narrow ledge or pipe, for instance.

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Um Jammer Lammy are this week's free games. People in the EU get Trine 2 (!) instead of SSF2THDR. Bioshock 2 is on sale, but I'm not sure if that's just the game and the complete collection, or if you can grab Minerva's Den separately.
