You can split your votes. On top of that, this contest has no ridiculous rule like barreldragon's contests do about having to wait an hour from your second save in a split vote to vote again.

So Suor would have been able to save one more at 7:51:58 (EST).

That rule isn't particularly silly in the least, and I haven't heard any ruling one way or the other on split saves other than that they are allowed.

Why is it not silly? All it does is punish users who want to use a legitimate strategy, punishing them for splitting their saves too early.

EDIT: Oh, and save people from screwing themselves up because splitting saves makes them slightly more liking to mess up their save times.

I personally am not a fan of split saves because at times it really can be confusing on ok this is what was done.

I've never seen clutter as a problem. I've never suddenly become confused as to what's going on just because people are breaking up their saves. Also, I've never noticed a difference in the speed of my updates because of broken saves, but that argument maybe isn't the best because I'm not the one doing updates most of the time.

The only other issue is a problem left with the users themselves in making sure their times are good. It gives them slightly more to keep track of, but in my experience it's handled well.

I still think it's kind of lazy to outright ban it instead of dealing with it and allowing users to have an extra tactic at their disposal. I'll respect it whenever it is banned, but I'll think it's silly.
