I was about to ask how easy it was to redeem on steam from Amazon as I have an extra amazon card lying around.

Easy as hell; you just redeem the CD Key. Works fine for most games; at least for their PC versions. Mac versions typically aren't redeemable on Steam.

Some people say that you can just put the CD key that comes with the Amazon game into Steam and it will activate, but that didn't work for me with AC: Revelations. Maybe it's because I got the pre-order version which had an incompatible CD key. It should technically work, though.

I did think that transition from the pod thing was really jarring, so filling in the gap would be nice. Do you have to play the entire game over again to play it, though?

That could also be because of wonky stuff with Mac versions and how Amazon handles them separately while Steam doesn't. AC:B doesn't work for me, but I bought the Mac version for that.

"Deus Ex: I'm on a Boat" is a standalone with it's own executable and everything

no, it's a sep menu.

Also yeah it's really fun. You have to re-level up, but you do it fast, so it ends up being fun. I enjoyed the story, you have a few good choices to make, and all the other Deus Ex stuff like stealth is handled well.
