First sport to discuss, BASEBALL

1) Most important is what kind of league do we want. Yahoo gives us 5 options, my crappy explanations after them
a)Head-to-Head - Every week you face off with one team, in most likely 10 categories, each category you win gets you a win. So every week you would end up with a record of 7-3, 2-8 and such. Would end with playoffs
b)Rotisserie - Cumulative throughout the entire season, you are ranked against the rest of the league at each of the categories, 14 for 1st in home runs, 13 for 2nd in batting average, etc. Whoever has the most points at the end of the year wins, no playoffs
c)Points Only - In this league, you get points for stats (4 for a home run, 2 for a stolen base, 1 for a RBI) Accumulate points throughout the season, whoever has the most wins, no playoffs
d)Head-to-Head - Points - Combo of a and c, face off against 1 team every week, whoever gets more points gets the win. Ends with playoffs
e)Head-to-Head - One Win - Just like a, but instead of getting a win for each category, you just get 1 win for winning the most categories in that matchup. Ends with playoffs

2)Once we decide which format we want, we'll figure out the specific categories, but the other important thing we should decide now is if we want a standard draft, or if we want to do an auction draft.

1. Option A - Head to Head. I detest Roto leagues.

2. I'm open to either draft. Auction can get rid of some balance issues in leagues that have clear-cut top players. However, they also take forever.

I'll add scoring and UFC thoughts later.

I hate Roto , and regular H2H is always crappy in anything but football IMO.

2. I would like an auction draft...but yeah, it's gonna take forever for baseball with 14 teams. Yikes.

Head-to Head with each category being a win/loss

Standard

Definitely do UFC pick em. Maybe do confidence style (if one doesn't know: if there are say, 6 fights, you bet each fight with a certain amount of points, from 1 to 6, based on how confident you are in the result. You can only use a certain amount for each match, and you have to use all possibilities. So like, Fight 1 is 1 point, Fight 2 is 2, etc.)

I think I would prefer points the most.

Standard draft

UFC pick em would be great. Pick the main card of the ppvs, one point for each correct pick, accumulate them throughout the year. Confidence would be a bad since it would give people with knowledge of the sport a distinct advantage, moreso than in leagues.

1) I like A, the sort of classic head to head format.

2) I'm fine with whatever categories, but I'd prefer doing the snake draft to the auction draft.

3) I know little about UFC, so whatever people who are familiar with it want to do is fine with me.

Basically, we have 4-5 people who preferred format A, and then a couple of people who each wanted root, points or head to head points.

If you guys want to argue against a normal head to head do so in the next couple days, otherwise we're doing that since that got the most votes essentially.

Ok here's the plan
Gonna go ahead and just go with a normal head to head league
14 teams no divisions, top 6 make the playoffs
Take place in Week 22,23,24 (so no 25)
And the other stuff all standard

What I need now is the roster size, and the categories we'll be doing.
I'll give a couple days for input, and will then create the league and figure out a draft time
