DigitalIncision 02/15/12 11:47:00 AM #1:	I stopped playing the first one when I got Parasite Eve, then lost the disc. Since then I've played most of them, and got pretty far in four (loved it) and five (boring), and have yet to open my copy of Revelations because I wanted to keep it sealed. However, I think I'm going to open up Revelations and play it. And make it my first beaten RE game. I somehow alerted enemies in a town and got attacked from all sides while my point blank head shots kept missing somehow in maybe every 1/3 shots. The controller, the premise, Nintendo's strategy. I feel like I got dick kicked by 'em and it's more a subconscious decision than any to just ignore the Wii. I thought mario galaxy was breathtaking and stopped halfway through, the first time I've ever NOT completed a mario game. RE4 was pretty much the first game of its kind and did not give a FARK about easing players in. Dying repeatedly in the first hour of gameplay was common back in the day. That said, the Wii controls make the difficulty more manageable, and people who've played games like Gears of War, Dead Space, or Mass Effect will have an easier time getting accustomed to RE4 than gamers who played it in early 2005. To this day, I think it's easily the best third person shooter/action game in existence. FFaddict1313 02/15/12 6:12:00 PM #32:	I only played RE4 for the first time very recently, but it's an absolutely amazing game. Hadn't played anything similar, either. It's an absolutely amazing game. The slower pace places much more importance on tactics than a lot of other shooters. Attache case management is awesome. The way kicks/suplex/knife works with headshots/legshots is indescribably satisfying. I played some of RE5 a little later. Forced AI and simpler item system takes away far too much of the management I can do. I don't think any video game has given me a worse feeling than when I realized that even though I used one pistol bullet for a headshot and then punched and knifed the enemy to death my partner was still using up half a clip or whatever of pistol ammo while I'm doing that. Switching weapons taking in-game time really sucks, too. Forced AI and simpler item system takes away far too much of the management I can do. I don't think any video game has given me a worse feeling than when I realized that even though I used one pistol bullet for a headshot and then punched and knifed the enemy to death my partner was still using up half a clip or whatever of pistol ammo while I'm doing that.RE5 is only enjoyable with a live co-op partner.
