It doesn't quite have the old-school charm of the first two Zeldas nor the personality of later Zeldas like LA, OOT, and MM. It's a solid game, but one of the reasons I liked it so much was because it was one of my first Zelda games and when I was a kid this was a completely mind-blowing adventure. It's a good game, but I feel that it's a bit slow and lacking in personality. Super Mario RPG has held up perfectly fine over the years.
