Believe it or not kiddies, this was an amazing technical achievement back when it was actually made. But Capcom cancelled it right before it was due to be released (magazines had already printed final reviews and guides), and we got Resi Gaiden instead, until RE1 was finally ported to a handheld as Deadly Silence.

But now the first handheld Resi game is available in in all its drab, blocky glory. I've been wanting to play this for a long time.

Yep, amazing achievement. Is the GBC even more powerful than the original GB? Isn't this roughly the equivalent of porting Resident Evil to the NES?

GBC has twice the processing power and memory of the GB, IIRC. I think it's stronger than the NES.

I loved Cannon Fodder. I remember my brother hacked the game and found some unintended levels that were way over the top.
