Alec's a bartender and he can't drink alcohol.

Anyway, alcohol, in it's pure form, does taste rather bad, but liquor is not pure alcohol. I will admit that most of the liquor I drink is an acquired taste. I love scotch, definitely an acquired taste. And mixing is more than just putting the mixers and alcohol together, you have be aware of the ratios of the ingredients.
