Never seen that anime before, but I've gotta say that was a very well-done intro. I especially liked how the backgrounds of each person changed to a different color of the rainbow when they got a close-up shot (clever). Nice Engrish for the song too. Still, X-Files intro is so eerily fitting and perfect and pianos rule so I can't vote against it here.

Thundercats

Much easier choice. Never did like the intro to Sonic, so it was awesome intro song with visuals befitting, well... an 80s cartoon vs. not as awesome intro song and only slightly more improved visuals.

Though Rainbow is decent enough, the simple eerie six note melody of X-Files has just too much impact.

Thundercats

Though I love Sonic SatAM, I don't really care for its theme song. The Thundercats opening is completely awesome and campy in that good sort of way.
