I thought this game was beloved by all who played it. These guys are acting like fans would hunt them down with torches and pitchforks if they dared to make another one. Man Dark Souls was amazing. Yeah the FPS is Blight Town was SLIGHTLY lower but it never impeded my gameplay.
No reason apologizing publicly for this when there are games with much more glaring issues and their devs don't say anything (Hi Bethesda and Bioware). Tomb of the Giants is only bad because it's pitchblack and the enemies are annoying. Plus, there really isn't a close bonfire near by until you reach the one in TotG.

Just do Lost Izalith before you do Tomb of the Giants and grab the Sunlight Maggot there so you don't have to bother with the Skull Lantern crap.

the only area I really disliked was Blighttown, but even that was ok once I got to the bottom. Farming for souls / titanite was fun, everything was just cool. I tried playing Demon Souls again the other day and it just didn't feel as smooth as Dark Souls. I logged 60 hours in in my first (and so far only) playthrough, and that was definitely great and all, but I wouldn't complain if the game were a bit more expansive. I wanted to know and see more of the world!

I just used the light spell to get through tomb of giants, pretty sure the requirements for that spell aren't that high since I didn't really bother with magic in my playthrough.
