The Format

We'll have a round robin format where everyone plays each other once. We all have have until the Saturday after this one (this will be Feb 11) to meet up and play our games with each other person signed up. The two people with the most wins at the end meet up in a championship best 2 out of 3 set.

It's up to us to meet up for our games. This will be pretty disorganized but I think it'll work out. I ask that everyone communicate in this topic about when they'll meet up for a game so that people who want to observe can, and I ask that we save replays for the enjoyment of all. If I can swing it I'll FRAPS the interesting replays and put them up on Youtube after we're done.

We also need people who can commit to hosting games and what their availability is.

For my part, I will be available all this week any time after 11AM Pacific. Anyone who wants to play their games with me just let me know ITT and I'll be good to go.

Let the real time strategies commence.

Oh crap I hadn't thought about that. Both people can name five ladder maps they'd be okay with and see if any match up I guess. If someone has a better solution I'm up to hear it. Personally I don't care much about the map choice so whatever is fine with me.

when i saw the mercenaries I was like "oh god here comes an attack, I wonder if I'll just die"

only reason I went back to my base was to pick up an orb of venom, actually. lucky timing that I was there to defend and had the AoW right there helping out.

People should send me a PM when they want to play. I'm pretty flexible for the most part.

Hmmm... I don't really feel like a round robin and my participation doesn't seem "necessary" (6 man round robin is pretty clean) so I might drop out too. But I'll just hold off on finalizing that though, since if it's a round robin me going 0-6 is the same thing as dropping out. I'll get back to you after reinstalling the game and stuff. Meanwhile if anyone's not in the thing already they can replace me. If I play any games I'll play them all to the best of my ability though.

I think the typical method in best of 1 is to let each player in turn ban a map until one's left. There's 8 in this season of SC2, probably start with the lower league person so he gets an extra pick.

Okay, that sounds fair enough. If there's any need for specific maps we should do it that way. If neither side cares much about maps or only wants a couple banned it'll be easy anyway.

That's a link to the spreadsheet for the WC3 results. I'll make the SC2 one next. Anyone can edit so whenever you play a match you can set the results there. 1 is a win, 0 is a loss, XXX is used when a user intersects himself. This should be useful so you can figure out who you still have left to play easily.

Ulti has withdrawn from the tournament so everyone gets a free win from him.
