So right now the character is at 0% life, lifeless, and adding voice acting is the only thing that can add to the life percentage? For me, there are other factors, but hey we all have different priorities and taste.

Considering I can't animate him and change him from the one expression he's capable of (ie give him some quirkiness a la Link) .. yep. Voice acting would add to him. That's all I can think of really. You're really kind of twisting what I'm saying to be some damning thing, or that I'm just not imaginative enough or something. The playable character is sloppy in comparison to the rest of the game.
And lifeless isn't the only issue. I already told you why I thought he needed voice acting. I talked about the dialogue of the rest of the game and things of that nature.
From: Psycho_Kenshin | #103 I'm just taking what you're saying literally and replying. There's a difference from saying voice acting would add and saying there's nothing there without it.
I also disagree that there's anything "sloppy" or "rushed" about it, it's a stylistic choice. A style you're not a fan of, but I dig it.
He's expressionless. So yes, there's not much else there

Ha, well, I mean... you are aware of the style we're talking about right? Yes your character starts as a blank slate. Your character is rude to everybody, kills, and commits crime? There's your character. Your character is kind and nice, helps everybody, that's your character. To you, maybe that's not a lotta character, but... well thats the whole style, I'm sure we'll see games in this style every once in a while for decades.

If I were reading a book, he'd probably be great. Him having an alignment is something I like, of course. I still find him expressionless. I don't like looking at him, and if he talked, it might help.
I also never said anything condemning the games in this style. It's one negative to a slew of positives.
