Already got some general art books as well as one on the MGS series, Valkyria Chronicles and Alice: Madness Returns. I like concept art, and basic sketches and thumbnails, but they're not a requirement.

I bought it separately. It's like 500 pages or something. I haven't opened it yet. It has tons of thumbnails and everything.

Yeah I'm thinking about buying the Okami one. It's a little expensive, but has some nice stuff from what I can tell.

This one is so expensive. The MMX version is actually way cheaper.

Well, I really hope (it won't happen) that, that book is released in a collector's edition with Ni No Kuni, like it was in Japan. It is the same as the one in the game!



It is so totally tempting to import because of this book.

That Guild wars one is a little small but has some really cool pictures.

Think I'll get the GW2 book and I was debating between Okami and MMX.

I'm already picking up Ni No Kuni. If it comes with an artbook I can only hope i's as awesome as that one.

Okay, decided on the FF9 and Guild Wars 2 book. I found a video on Youtube with the pictures of FF9 and it's rad. Amazon didn't have a quick-look like it did of Okami and MMX.

I did a little. Maybe I'll pick it up at some point. I already have some really cool, inspiring art with games like MGS and Alice. My focus is more on sketches and thumbnails, and FF9 seems to have a mix of everything, plus I like FF9 more than any of the other games. I just didn't want to pay $100+. Ended up buying a used one in "very good" condition for less than half the price.

And yeah, FF9 is incredible. I'm a huge fan of the PS1 era of Final Fantasy + Xenogears.

I love the BioShock 2 art book. I don't know if it's only available in the excellent collector's edition, but if you dig BioShock, you should get it.

seriously, that is the best collector's edition ever. vintage posters, cards, 160 page hardcover art book, the soundtrack to bioshock 1 on vinyl, and the soundtrack to bioshock 2 on cd. so good

Persona 4's was pretty cool, though it might be hard to find these days. It was only sold for about a day on Amazon along with half the soundtrack and the game at half price.

And I didn't think to check out BioShock 2. I actually looked up BioShock but I think the book was too expensive, or didn't exist or something. I think it was just really expensive. I'll see if the BS2 book is available, probably later though.

How is the Alice: MR art book? I've been meaning to buy it for a while now.

It's really cool. Amazing concept art of lots of different environments and some really grotesque stuff. It also has lots of poses and sketches of characters and some weapons/items. I haven't gone through page by page, but I've looked at a bunch of them and it looks awesome.
