Rules: There may be spoilers for all seven books and 8 movies Each match will last for exactly 24 hours. Any votes after that point will not count. Discussion is encouraged but not required. Make sure all of your votes are obvious. I should know who you are voting for, basically don't bury your vote in the middle of a paragraph. No alt-voting. Ties will be replayed the next day with the rest of the matches. No vote-saves or rallying for specific characters. Telling people to vote is encouraged but don't tell them how to vote! Don't complain about the seeds, they were the result of a save-my. Because matches can overlap, results will be in this topic. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/8-gamefaqs-contests/61327435
(1)Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, he may be a bit of a jerk, but Katie is pretty generic with her just being Dumbledore's Army/Quidditch/Sacrificial Lamb.
(4)George Weasley, he is hilarious, fun, and always keeps an ear out to help those in need.

Yeah, this is not even a match.
(5)Aberforth Dumbledore (4)George Weasley
This however was a tough choice, and one I might switch later if I hear a good argument for Abe or just think better of it by myself. I feel like Fred got most of the funnier lines, and where Fred might be humorous on hid own, George might sort of need Fred to play off of to be funny. And Abe is certainly a unique character what with his... straaaaange obsession with goats and living in his not-so-great older brother's shadow. It's the opposite of Sirius and Regulus' relationship. I dunno.

Pretty obvious decisions. I'll admit, I never really learned to tell George apart from Fred, but they were the funniest characters in the books, so half of that is easily enough to beat Aberforth.

I do agree with what Gen said, though, that Fred could be funny on his own, whereas George really needed Fred to play off of to be entertaining. Kinda like Ernie and Bert - Ernie was entertaining enough on his own, but sidesplitting when he was with Bert, whereas Bert without Ernie was usually a snoozefest.

(1)Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore (9)Katie Bell
I've heard good arguments that Albus has surpassed Snape for the character with the most depth. And he's always been the character with the most style.
(5)Aberforth Dumbledore (4)George Weasley
The funny thing about Fred and George is that Fred has 80% of the lines, and George has about 20%.
On the other hand, I like Aberforth, I like him a great deal. He speaks ill of his brother, as you'd expect from his history. The funny thing is how very much his criticisms ring true (when we were inclined to dismiss, say Rita Skeeter). When Alberforth says that Albus is asking unrealistic and dangerous things of Harry, these criticisms are believable and make a lot of sense. And yet, underneath his pesimism, and inclination to believe that Albus will only get more people hurt, and bitterness over events that happened a century ago, he has a glimmer of hope. Also, goats are funny.
